Does it have a romantic angle? Any girls at all, not temporary? And is it's ending worth it? 'Cuz i've read many series which are good but the ending sucks?

Thanks a lot. I guess i'll read it. Though, if it has any yaoi elements at all, please tell me. Not that I have anything against it, I just don't wanna get the shock of my life. TIA.

i watched part of it, as an anime, and from what i read it gives off a shonen ai feel
hmm no it does not its about friendship two men [boys] can be friends and care for each other close friends and shounen ai is a big difference
i once read a something: In anime and manga male friendship doesn´t exist [from girls view]. For girls most manga with to male friends or rivals have [subtext]. But the episodes of the anime i watched didn´t give me this feeling that it contains [BL] subtext
There's definitely no BL, but there's no straight romance either. One side-character (a guy) has a girlfriend, and their relationship gets a bit of focus now and then. Neither of the two MCs have girls.
As for female characters - there are three permanent ones who aren't romantically involved with Ginji or Ban.
IMO, this lack of love affairs really serves to make the manga more interesting and unique. GB is much better than all those harem ecchi romantic comedies!
but the only canon romantic couple that's given much emphasis is shido and madoka.
well i think himiko might have some unrequited romantic feelings for ban, but so far (vol 36) nothing's really come of it from that angle.
as for yaoi/bl/slash/whatever you want to call it... does that two page spread of ban kissing [spoilers] on the lips count? and i can remember is ginji's comment about jubei/kazuki and how they seem like a couple of honeymooners. also ayamine himself said wants to read jubei/kazuki doujin.
the bond between ginji and ban goes beyond normal friendship (hell it goes beyond ~romance~), it's deep and profound and ultimately uncategorizable, so of course us fangirls will happily pounce on it.
anyway, getbackers doesn't really do much with ~yaoi~ in-story, but the anime is chockful of promotional/artbook pictures with bouquets/fishnet/groping/and that one shot of ban molesting a pants-less ginji.
