hello~

i am looking for a manga in which a character, preferably the girl lead, (since i like romance, and usually the lead is a girl~ .. but i don't want to limit it too much..) is innocent/naive/clueless (NOT in a completely annoying way) at first, and some experience or situation or person corrupts her innocence. this can be either gradually, bit by bit, or in one moment. (although it might be more interesting gradually~).

i'm not too concerned about the circumstances of the "corruption", i'm just more interested in the concept. like, it could be as simple as someone telling/showing a sheltered girl about the world of drugs, sex, and rock and roll, or more dramatic, or.. whatever you give me. (:

along the same lines, i'm also looking for someone (also more interesting to me if that someone is a girl, but yet again.. :3) that lives in a corrupted world/setting/family/school/etc, and is surrounded by corruption and or mainly corrupted people, but she is innocent/pure at heart.

so, i would really really prefer it to include romance pleaseee. and no yaoi/yuri or such. other than that, go wild!

i hope this made sense, and is not a repeat thread.. i've been searching for a while for topics like these, but couldn't find one.. if you do happen, point me to it!

Well, the female protagonist gets 'corrupted' already in the first chapter. I'm sure you've already heard of this manga though: Skip Beat. & about her living in a 'corrupted' world, well, the people she hangs around have some flaws...
Concept? Simple: Guys breaks her heart.

And even though I didn't read it, maybe Mars ?

Hana wa Knife o Mi ni Matou for the first one (though I hate the ending) and maybe Deep Love - Ayu no Monogatari or Koizora for the second.

Little Little Well it's cute and innocent, but it's yuri in the slightest extent; I'd say more like best-friends than lovers. It's textless so it'll only take you a few minutes to finish it.

I'm not sure if this fits what you're looking for, but Wendy? This one's not for the faint of heart... it's not safe for work. But I think she's a good girl at heart amidst a twisted world/fantasy. From my interpretation, it fits both your first search for a girl "getting into some corruption" and being then becoming the "innocent one in a world of corruption."

Uta-Kata - but I'd recommend the anime over the manga (only up to episode 8, but it's significantly better). The power she has as a magical girl slowly corrupts her.
Although: minimal romance, and shoujo-ai (... well, the manga is listed as such - I haven't really seen anything to indicate that they're more than close friends).

Gunslinger Girl - zilch romance though.

Believers is like what you're looking for. The girl is in a cult and she's been brainwashed to believe in it. She's really naive and in this cult you can't have sexy thoughts, among other things. She gets corrupted by one of the other cult members I think (actually they corrupt each other) or was it an outsider? I don't remember. Anyways its a really good manga but it's really innapropriate and NSFW. And yeah there is romance

so far, i've read little little, wendy, and silver (fujita kazuko). i was just kinda skipping around to read hehe. :3 oh and believers sounds like good potential.

anyways, little, little was ADORABLE. it was so cute~! but i am not sure that there was any corruption involved haha, it was so innocent. wendy was reallyyyy good too. and it fit really well with what i was thinking, especially an innocent being in a corrupted world. that was the definition of corrupted! very good choice, thanks for the recommendation (:

and silver was just awesome. it fit how the girl was corrupted by the betrayal, and i love how she's going back for revenge. .. was always one for the revenge stories.. i am addicted to this manga now! D:

i've also read some~! i've read mars (it fits well though for the topic! so for those of you who haven't readddd ittt) and sakuran. another good suggestion. although sad.. ):

You might also try the first story of Doll Garden. It's a love story between a girl who is sold to a brothel and a boy who was born to a prostitute and works there.
