Just saying. oops, ;lol; it just when you noticed many people were complaining about your behavior when you do your job (such as, you are too perfectionist! , you make me crazy , etc) that you could be detail oriented person. I mean they tend to be perfectionist for everything they do, so many others find difficult to follow the detail oriented person's standard. Ok, i'll add and edit some.

I guess I'm big picture person since I am a scatter brain generally. I only pay attention to small detail if it seems relevant but yeah... big picture person. :3

Wha?! I match both the big-picture and detail-oriented side well!
But when it comes down to reading, it really depends on my mood. I finally decided I'm leaning more of a detail-oriented person more often because I get angus when I see poor proof-reading skills! I'm such a perfectionist! I'm a proof-reader for Night Constellations scans so I guess that's why. ^^
On the other hand, ask me for details, I have no idea! I don't have much clue of the plot either LOL.

I'm not 100% of either, but if it were a scale, I'd be much closer to "Big Picture". But I don't think I'm scatterbrained and I do notice things like a comma missing.
But things like getting a scratch on your car, failing an exam, being late for work -- I don't worry about them too much. They can be frustrating at first, but I think: Does it really matter in the end? I don't try to let them happen and I work hard at the things I do, but we're all going to die anyway so why be stressed about one exam fail or one almost inevitable scratch on your car? Move on and don't let things like that stress you!

Detail oriented, almost obsessively.
I think it's a good thing if it makes me do a good job, even if it's to the point of being a perfectionist. It's great, but it takes a hell load of time, but you'll be very proud of it in the end.

Depends on the situation, but most of the time I'm a big picture person.
If having my bed tidy doesn't bring me any benefit and is troublesome, It won't be tidy
If reading a document carefully will bring me benefit and isn't troublesome, I will read it carefully
In everything I do I compare Benefit x Trouble

LOL I'm both as well!
well sometimes I can get so irritated with little grammar mistakes and sometimes I just don't care.
afterall I make them myself too. And I'm a scatterbrain =,= I sometimes see imperfections but your example of the fly in a movie... no I wouldn't notice it..

Most of the time I am not interested in my surroundings so I tend to do nothing or the strict minimum.
But when I come across something that gets me hooked I am pretty detail orientated. It becomes like an obsession and I won't be able to stop cause you can always improve it.
When I remember my last essay I will have to admit that the only reason I stopped working on it was cause there was a time-limit.

I am completely detail orientated by this definition. Grammatical errors in movies and papers really tick me off.
Don't ask why, they just do.
And no, I am not a pain to anybody. Seems like some bias coming in there.

Neither. I'm not so close minded that I'd have to be one or the other. Obviously there are parts of your life where you must think "big picture" and other parts where you must think "details." Not being able to utilize both would probably mean you couldn't get out the door in the morning.
