Hi, My name is Kimmy and I could be a proofreader for you. I am a freak about spelling and grammar. My school has a really strict English program and English was my first language. I hope that you will consider having me on your staff. Also, I can typeset a bit and if you are willing to train me then I could also be an editor.

yay, of course we're interested ^^ I'll PM you in a minute And I guess we could train you in the future, no problems with that
We still need more translators and editors! When it comes to editors I will also gladly take people who are willing to be only cleaners (means they clean scans, they don't put text in them) and only typesetters (they only put text in the scans). Actually work goes a lot faster if you split these two things on different people ^^

hi, Pomegranate
By jap->eng proofreading I mean that the proofreader has raws and translation and checks if everything is translated properly and also if there are no things missing in translation (translators often skip some small bubbles or sfxs just by accident, so proofreader should put these small things in translation) =)
tell me if you're still interested

I wouldn't mind being a cleaner or typesetter. Or an English Proof-reader.
Also, what would a Cleaner, exactly do?
Nothing that has to do with translating, I hope? I don't know any foreign languages. XD
I have a program on my computer that would work well... I just have to have my brother teach me how to use it. XDDDD
It shouldn't be that hard. I think its called Adobe Photoshop or something around there.

cleaner is the same as editor, but he doesn't do the typesetting part ^^'
as for now we can only take experienced editors since I already am teaching one person editing so it's impossible for me to teach more
oh, and for translating, no experience is needed, you just have to know japanese good enough to translate it into english native japanese translators warmly welcomed, even if you're not great in english~~ ^^

We have a new scanner soooo... we're looking for japanese translators for these 2 projects (they're shounen/fantasy):
Number
Heart no kuni no alice
they have very beautiful art and the storylines are quite unique ( for example heart no kuni no alice has lots of Alice in Wonderland themes ^^)
and we still need more translators for our shoujo projects:
