someone's Japan obsessed aren't they ;p
I do find Japan, it's people, culture and what not appealing - although not to keen on it's overcrowdedness in the ciites and natural disasters, but i think i'm one of those people who would rather wish they were somewhere else than where they are though.

I'm in Japan right now and I love almost everything. The hour train ride to the University on a packed to capacity train is about as fun as getting poked in the eye with a stick and natto (fermented soy beans) while not horrible, are not on my "I want to eat everyday" list.

wow, this seems a little too similar to that last thread of yours...
anyway, i wouldnt say i like everything about japan, since i havent experienced anything of japan other than games, manga, anime, and sushi (but thats not all of japan now, is it?), but generally yea i guess you could say i liked it, although its not to the point where im more interested in it than any other country. im neutral like that.

I like Japanese food and Japanese products[e.g. Games, Mechanical(PS3, Cars, TV), Anime, Manga(don't we all? )] and Japan's culture has interested me even before i discovered manga, anime. Mostly i was fascinated with Katanas and the Samurai but also learned to be interested in other aspects of their culture.
So yeah...i like Japan*cough*nese products*cough* and would like to go there for a vacation...but living there...no no no no no...other than being fascinated by their culture i find Japan too strict to live in...i heard a 10 year old boy got jailed for littering. not sure if it's true or not though

I like Japan, and it would be nice to visit, but I'd rather live in Korea.
I've got all my music, gaming, manga, etcetera needs here.
Still, I can imagine that if I went to Japan, I'd be checking out various things (doujinshi, figurines, or art). Someone who I'm close to mentioned that if we went to Japan to visit, we'd use her knowledge of Japanese and my English to travel.
Edit: Mind you, I voted "yes".

I like Japan as much as I like any other country! There's not much difference...
ALTHOUGH... their business world is much more polite (ex. people bow at each other), and the people who works in the shops are also very polite... unlike the stupid waiters here =(

The similarity in my previous poll is exactly the point i'm trying to prove "Are you a Japanophile?". I think it's kind of funny because in this poll people seem to like Japanese stuff more than in the latter. Being a japanophile simply means you have to like something from japan so if anyone (all) people in this forum are reading manga they would automaticaly be regarded to as japanophiles. Now the funny part is that the word Japanophile has a negative ring to it just because of the -phile which is probably why most people act negative when being called one, even though it's true. So are most people living in denial or just like being hypocrites? silly people

Well not everyone who voted in one poll might have voted in the other - ie me.
Japanophile, i'd never heard the term before but looking it up it seems to be more of a "love" than just like thing. I like Japan, but not the point of loving it totally, i'm sure it's like any other place and has it's bad points. And i'm guessing the other two votes who don't like Japan are the ones who just find it interesting. It's all about how we interpre your questions.

If I changed the question "Who here likes Japan?!" into "Who here loves Japan?!" would you honestly think that the result would actualy dramaticaly change from a ten times higher answer for *yes*? Also if we now took into consideration that the question might be identical the chances of a majority of 20+ people voting yes in one and no in the other is very slim. how many people have/are studying Japanese here? Why would someone bother spending so much time on learning a far away language without having some kind of enthusiasm for it... Why even bother trying to hide your japanese fetish
