Me and a friend where talking about outie belly buttons on manga characters today and realized we could think of none but throwaway side characters in games or kodomo manga that were meant to look fat or funky.

Are there any manga characters who aren't just throwaway characters meant for a gag or side note but actually have a purpose ---- and an outie belly button?

it's one of legendary manga of its time
you can't found any japanese who doesn't know this manga
just like Tezuka Osamu's Astro Boy

Well I haven't read it but I had heard of it. Besides, I'm not Japanese.

But since it seems Gian has a purpose I'll go read the manga thanks

I m not sure if Noramimi can fit. it's not a kodomo manga (i think it's somewhat mature) but he is sometimes gag character but since it's the main character...
