I was born in California and am currently living in Japan. I just moved so I shall work on orders starting mid-February (I will be able to start sooner, but I will be slower; if that's okay with you I have no problem.)

I have been in shoujo, shonen, and seinen groups (Midnight Scans, Viscans, Hoshitori), for more than 2 years total. No hardcore hentai, yaoi, yuri, etc. please. Mild ecchi, shonen/shoujo-ai is okay. Here is an example of the translation file: http://www.mediafire.com/?r6v6q96ddww68gk. Raws (http://www.mediafire.com/?ncl3ymodmmj) and finished scanlation (http://www.mediafire.com/?ji94l9tcf3n7h89) can be found at Hoshitori.com

Chapter: $0.50/page. Please wait 1~2 weeks after I complete your last chapter if ordering multiple “per chapter.”
Volume: $0.75/page. I will send it in chapter increments, and will be faster than if you order per chapter.

If you do not have raws, I can probably get it at a nearby bookstore; there are a few in biking distance. Please pay 3/4 of the price (plus 3/4 of shipping if I cannot find it at a bookstore), all of the price plus shipping if you would like me to scan it (starting March). Please have raws for doujinshi commissions or be prepared to pay shipping, because most doujinshi are only sold in places like Akihabara (more than 2 hours away).

I do not currently have a bank account/paypal in Japan, and will have to ask you to hold the money until I get one (which should be soon). Sorry >_<

First come first serve, prices are negotiable, manga prices are based on the conversion rates of the day you contact me.
My email is hina.camui@gmail.com

Your prices rate are higher than pros. xD
But, what i'm interested is that you can be a raw provider/scanner, right?
If that so, I shall contact you soon.

Actually, most people charge by word; you might be looking at the word rate if you're looking at a pro's site. My prices are cheaper.
I can be a raw provider starting around mid-March, but keep in mind you pay 75% and that Japanese houses are really tiny xD (so I'll have a separate storage space elsewhere, which may be harder to get to if you need rescans)
I might change the fee for only-scans though, unless you want me to translate.

Well I've already a pro tl'er wink.
Anyway, about the "raw provider" thingy, I'll pay all thing if you scans for free.

Yes, well I'm one of those few who aren't (anymore). Frankly, I don't have time for volunteer-work right now. Would you like me to translate something for you?

Well, I'd like to get something from it please. Maybe an occasional translation job?

I'm willing to pay you for scanning for us but regarding the translation+editing prices...don't get me wrong, but I already have staff that work hard and work for free so if I pay you I would either have to pay all of them [and some of them I'm sure won't accept that] or pay just you and make them feel unappreciated.
It's not the money that's the problem, but the idea, we work for free and offer our work for free. If we would earn from scanlation we could really get in trouble with the publishers.
P.S.: my group's name is Evil Flowers and we would love to have your help smile .

You...kinda really went far in explaining why you can't pay me, can you tell me what percentage of the manga you are willing to pay for?

I'm willing to pay for the raws you buy and a decent charge for the scanning. I would love to have your help as a translator or editor, but like I said, for those jobs I can't pay because of the things mentioned in the previous post sad .

Okay ^^
I haven't quite figured out how the post here works, but there's a post office on campus (kinda weird for a Japanese college O_o) so I'll figure it out by March-ish. xD

Post office is really easy, even for me with barely any Japanese. Tell them you want to send a parcel to whatever country. Express is イーエムエス. International parcel is こくさい こず つみ こうくう びん (sorry but my kanji is still pretty limited so I only know what to say, not how to read it.) SAL is the cheapest way to send parcels abroad by air, it's longer than normal airmail but much quicker than sea. Just ask for さるーびん. This is what I use to send packages home. Hope this helps you get settled.

Thanks Cuthien, mastaof.

Yes, but I don't think they hire people across an entire ocean, if you read my post thoroughly.
And I'm all for volunteering and all, been doing that for three years... but right now I'm living on 50% off, nearly expired stuff from the cheapest grocery store 'round here. :x
Can't go on much longer by chewing water, yeah?
