Hi guys, sorry for another request thread.

I'm looking for a manga with a royal-city-type setting or kingdom, any place where a king or queen rules the area.
Kinda like a city surrounding the royals or a small village belonging to the king/queen.
Some examples I can think of is Utahime, The Scarlet Chair, and Sable Prince (maybe Savage Garden as well, but I don't like how it's at a boarding school).
However, I don't want the story revolving around the king or queen or the royalty in general, but the main can interact with them a bit (Like being an acquaintance or something). I just want a manga with this type of setting.

If you can think of a good manga with the main being low-class but with rising influence, I'll consider it too.

Just the basics: I don't want any BL, GL, yaoi, yuri, hentai, shota, loli, or smut. I would prefer it if it's not a manga only revolving around romantic relationships, give me some action/fantasy or something. x'D
Edit: Plus, I would prefer it if it were a bit more of a realistic, historical-ish setting. But if it fits in any other type of situation, it's fine (mecha, futuristic, etc.).

If you have any questions, feel free to just ask.
And sorry if this type of topic exists, I looked but found nothing to my liking, even in the categories.
Thanks. smile

i don´t know if it´s exactly what you´re looking for, but Fushigi Yuugi comes in my mind. Girl from our world comes into a world which is smiliar to old china and t get back she has to find 7 persons with special powers. one of the persons is the king of the country she´s in.

i think i´ve read some more before, i´ll check my lists

Thanks for the info you two.
Sorry to be a bit fussy here, but I would prefer it if it were a bit more of a realistic, historical-ish setting, but yours are fine too. So, I'll check out Fushigi Yuugi and Legend of Maian. biggrin

Basara?
Akagami no Shirayukihime is a shoujo, but the main heroine is getting more popular, I guess.

Maybe Dokuhime?
It's a little dark, though.

Vinland Saga, Vinland Saga, Vinland Saga, Vinland Saga, Vinland Saga, Vinland Saga, Vinland Saga, Vinland Saga, Vinland Saga, Vinland Saga, ... we've got a king/prince, and a cool main hero...
History stuff is also always good. Try out Saver as well, it has a king and a slightly special heroine.

It's not very realistic, but Trinity Blood is on a grand scale with a Royal city and the Vatican etc... i prefer the anime version.
