First anime - Dragon Ball Z, Pokemon, Digimon, Beyblade. My entire family used to watch them like crazy. We also had beyblades, pokemon cards and stuff biggrin We'd watch the anime first and then start playing some game related to it. Especially loved playing with beyblades.

First manga - Dengeki Dais ...

I used to watch those animes with my brother. We also bought cards and beyblades. I miss those days when my brother's still nice and innocent. Haha.

Anime:
... Sailor Moon,(when I was five) but what kick started my obsession was Inuyasha at ... 12? 13? possibly at 11.
I use to stay up on Saturday nights and watched adult swim. Back when it was only on Saturdays, and showed old people swimming to indicate it's adult swim.

Manga:
I want to say Love Hina but every time I think back I remember something else I read earlier. (Like I thought Gravitation was the first manga I read until I remember I read Love Hina about a year earlier)
Read Love Hina at an early 14. (my age).

I had the same thing going with me. Ranma ½ and other works from Takahashi were my gateway-drug. I just grabbed a random volume of Ranma (vol 12, the latter half of the moxibustion arc) from the local library and it was all downhill from there smile. The first anime I've seen must have been a local dub of Ginga: Nagareboshi Gin followed up by Pokemon, though I did not actually think about them as "anime" as such. Kids don't categorize

Later came Final Fantasy Unlimited and the anime of Inuyasha. Inuyasha marks the true beginning of my anime days.

hmmmmm. Kinda hard to say. I've been watching anime since I was about 4 or 5 but I didn't really realize the difference between anime and cartoons back then. I remember watching DBZ, Dragon Ball, Sailor Moon, Fooly Cooly, Android Kikaider, The Big O, Inuyasha, and other stuff. I can't recall my very first anime though. I honestly didn't care enough to remember since I was so young.

My first manga, I think, was Rurouni Kenshin. That was from just flipping through a volume of it at a bookstore though. My very first, at least partially read (at the time), manga series had to have been Inuyasha.

First anime I ever watched was Sailor Moon when I was a kid. I didn't really know what it was and didn't follow it, I just watched whenever I saw it was on because I thought they were so pretty with their clothes and cool hair and everything... But the first I ever watched all the way through (when I was like 14? 13?) was Ouran High School Host Club. And the first manga was the third volume of Fullmetal Alchemist in Swedish, cuz someone gave it to me for my birthday. Didn't understand anything, tho, since I kept reading the wrong way... Great job roll eyes

First anime: Yattaman. When I was like 3-4 back then so I didn't know anything back then.

First manga: I can't really remember, it was already so long ago. It might have been some manga that I already watched the anime based on, like NGE or something.
