I'd like something where the main character was one kind of person, but then something happened/happens to make them do a total 180.

It could be either that they start off a nice, happy person and then something happens to make them depressed, cruel, etc., or that they start off with their morals corrupted or really unhappy or something, and then like, see the light.

It can happen at anytime, so it could be from before the manga starts, or at the very end or whatever.

I'd especially like it, though, if someone else has to do with the transformation, but that's not necessary (like Light from Death Note).

Examples:

Kuroshitsuji
He was a nice kid, but then was kidnapped and tortured and his parents were killed and now all he cares about is revenge.

Rurouni Kenshin
He was a war assassin, but then he accidentally and realized that there couldn't be any happiness from endless killing, so he completely changed his world philosophy.

It doesn't have to be a sudden thing. It could be gradual, like with Death Note. Thanks.

Eden no Ori;

Eensy-Weensy Monster probably fits... the female lead says something to the male lead that ends up pretty much flipping his worldview on its head. Not the most thoroughly developed manga ever, but it was decent enough.

E's - Not fully scanlated but strong hints of Kai having a darker former/other personality.

Well i read so many mangas!? there r so many characters that have changed their personalities either to the good or bad!? Well most of the shojo mangas have this cliche thing when a cold person starts to fall in love with the other main character their personalities changes to the better!? it is always like that!? and when you have a tragic story the sunny upbeat main character turns cold then a new love starts to bring him/her back into life!? the stories are always like this!?

The main lead guy has a 180deg change of personality towards girls b'coz of his mother..
Skip beat is highly recommended..! Kyoko definitely has a change of pesonality due to someone (that stupid shou)..
And maybe [m]watashii ni xxx shinasai[/m]..not sure but the lead girl has some changes..from being manipulative,cold and collected around Shigure(lead guy)..then boom change..haha

Thanks, but I'm looking for something a little more drastic than Koukou Debut or Kyou, Koi Wo Hajimemasu. In other words, I'd like something more than a slice-of-life high school drama.
