What is the best way to translate a dialect or accent of the original language that is not the norm (e.g., Kansai-ben)?
Different country's English accent (e.g., Irish or Australian)
Different American regional accent (e.g., Southern)
Have the character use different slang (e.g., 'pops' instead of 'dad')
Minor speech pattern differences (e.g., dropping the 'g' in '-ing' words)
No difference in translation but have a translation note

So, I'm looking for a TV series with excellent non-romantic relationships. Friendship, family, teacher-student, whatever. I want the relationship to last at least two seasons, but it can falter for awhile as long as it's repaired. Something with action is preferred, but not required.

Examples -
Supernatural (Dean/Sam relationship)
Buffy the Vampire Slayer (Giles/Buffy)
Gilmore Girls (Loreli/Rory)
