Fairy Tail (natsu eats flames to gain more energy/power) but you're probably reading it already.

For the second one, I think Elemental Gelade fits. They use Edel Reids as weapons and merge with them. I think Rave fits, too.

Also, there's this, and this. Though they probably might not help.

There's an emphasis on weapons in Flame of Recca, too. And in MAR from the same author.

Haven't started Fairy Tail yet, will soon though.

Toriko I guess. It's centered around food, where the better the food you eat, the stronger you become. The fighting doesn't necessarily revolve around eating though.
