Pfft, if someone needs a special holiday to give them permission to express their love for someone... that's rather disappointing.

It's vastly celebrated over here :] so it just sucks when you have no one to cut a cake with, etc.

:T What country do you live in? Because from where I am, even if it is commercialized, it's not that big a deal (or maybe it's because I simply don't care) if you have a valentine's or not. And you can always cut cake with your friends/family. In any case, isn't it sweeter to celebrate love anytime rather than a set date?

And just to set the mood for a "Bridget Jones" type of story... you should watch Kuragehime. It's cute. Hooray for spinster-hood (turned into potential lovey dovey)!
