NOT INCEST. I'm looking for a manga that's all about the PLATONIC relationship between a SISTER and BROTHER. Not two brothers, not two sisters, one of each. They could be allies/best friends, or enemies, but if they're enemies then they have to have conflicting emotions, and I'd prefer it if the girl were the main character.

Also, I'd like the sibling relationship (whatever it is) to be the most important relationship in the manga. I'm not looking for a manga where romance is the main point, but then there is a sibling relationship off on the side or something. Their relationship has to be key.

As long as it's not ecchi/hentai/smut or yaoi/yuri, I'm cool with any genre. Thanks. Sorry that my request is so specific, and I won't blame you if you can't think of anything.

I would recommend 50 Rules for Teenagers.

While there are some elements of romance, the story mostly focuses on the two main characters - a twin brother and sister. The two siblings fight, but they clearly love each other. It's a nice slice-of-life type series. Too bad the scanlations seemed to have stopped.

Okay, thanks I'll look into to it. And I don't mind incestuous subtext, as long as that's all it is.

Not exactly what you want, but maybe you would like Hotman. It focuses on the life of a family of siblings and the eldest one's daughter.

Can't think of anything else. =/

Feel So Good
The Change!
Yasuko to Kenji

And maybe Grave of the Fireflies, the classic anime film.

Edit: Haven't read these, but found them through a category search:
Avian Wander
Brother (MIURA Noriko)
Inferno
Kodomo no Niwa
To Be Continued Tomorrow

There's no way I'd watch that film again, nor do I recommend that anyone do after watching it once. Its a great film but man, talk about depressing.

Interesting fact, I saw an ad for jelly beans based on the ones in the movie with the same kind of can as well as a picture of the little girl. I don't know why but that just made me uncomfortable.

Ore no Imouto ga Konna ni Kawaii Wake ga Nai

Edit:

Sorry for getting somewhat off-topic, but since Grave of the Fireflies has come up, I can't resist a small rant:

Spoiler (highlight to view)
Most... boring... film... ever. I get that it's supposed to be an atmospheric period piece, but even still, movies should have plots!

I feel a little better now... thanks.

Inferno doesn't fit. The story isn't about the brother and sister's relationship.

Tsuzuki wa Mata Ashita is about the family as a whole, not only the siblings. It's still a great manga, though - and I highly recommend it.

Yaya Puri
Allumage, sort of.
Guin Saga might work too.

Seconding Avian Wander and Brother (MIURA Noriko)

Thanks for all your suggestions! So far Feel So Good looks the best, so thanks Odette. Inferno also looked really good, but I guess that's not really about the siblings . . . ? By the way, it's okay if there's another storyline going on that's more important as long as the sibling relationship is the most important relationship in the manga.

Thanks again. Any more like those?

Re: Feel So Good. The description fits, but I see that I previously gave it a rating of 5. I hope you like it better.

Okay, now I'm curious. Why a five?

uhh...the only thing i can think of is Family Complex
though the main character has "relationships" with all his siblings

@unusuallove
It just didn't come alive for me and didn't seem very realistic. I usually give 5s to mangas that aren't good or bad. But I've only read two chapters (scanlated), so it's not necessarily my final opinion on it.

Definitely Chokotto Sister.

The closest thing I can think of is Monster. Their relationship is pretty important plotwise but not the most meaningful one in the story.
