I want something where the main plot is romance, and romance is the point of the show. That is, there is not some other plot, like a quest/adventure, going on (like Fushigi Yuugi, Eureka 7, etc). The show must be about the two main characters and how they fall in love.
I like the strong females in Toradora and LoveCom, but I'm not necessarily looking for that feature. Other examples of what I'm looking for are Itazura na Kiss, Marmalade Boy, Kare Kano, Gokinjo Monogatari (if only I could find more subs!), and Kimi ni Todoke.
Drama is fine, as long as there's also comedy to balance it (ie, Nana is too much drama). No BL/GL please.
