i think that it's her blood, since most of the vampires in the series end up "liking" her blood, and she's able to control Zero with it also....so yeah.... it's the blood. Though I do think that Yuuki is pretty cute, specially as a chibi

So if her blood is so special, why didn't it help Zero while he is going crazy confused

confused

Precisely.

Major lack of sight on the authors behalf, and I really don't see how they can explain that despite Zero drinking her blood every day he'd still go crazy... When he drinks Kaname's once in order to extend his sanity -.-'... Stupid. He probably drank enough of her blood to make it the equivalent of draining a pure blood.

Ridiculous and stupid plot twist. Not logically developed at all.

But yes, that'd be why Kaname wants her. And Zero its because he's lived with her most of his life, and she accepts him for what he is.

So, if Yuki is a pure blood vampire, then why isn't she wanting blood? Where are her fangs? How is she hiding it?
and like some people already said, why didn't it help zero??
i feel like the author just put whatever the readers wanted....you know?
like, readers wanted Yuki to be a pure-blooded vampire so she just made it like that...cause that's what everyone expects...did the author put some thought into how that's going to work outconfused
No offense or anything...

mm...maybe she being a vampire-idk-im a vampire maniac-so i like the whole story and mostly the fact that they are purebloods and love each other-even thought they are siblings~

[[we gotta keep the purebloods together-]] i find vampires very smexy-yet dangerous and fragile~

Too true. It just felt like the mangaka suddenly gave up on one plotline and completely changed everything without thinking everything through, which annoyed me. And I still have no idea what's happening in it now, everything's just gone nuts. At least as far as I'm concerned, it has.

no I think the author had this planned the whole time..
Kaname has always loved her..without apparently knowing her. and we found out why.

I think that some kind of spell was cast on her to hide her pure blood status and she became human. So when Zero sucked her blood, it was like a human's...but tastier and addictive because some remnants of her pure blood must have remained. so the vampires thought it tasted so sweet. When they(kana/yuki) exchanged blood, the curse was lifted and she became pure blood vampire again, that's just what I think how it worked..

I really wouldn't call it a plot hole.. her mother gave her a curse to turn her into a human pretty much, in order to hide her.. But not 100%, the taste and smell(?) of her blood were unchanged. It's magical properties, and signature were changed...

Zero drank Yuki's blood while she was "human." Once her mother cast the "turn human spell" on her, EVERY SINGLE VAMPIRIC TRAIT SHE HAD DISAPPEARED. Her fangs, aversion to daylight, pureblood powers, and need for blood all disappeared, so why can't we assume that the healing effects of her blood disappeared as well? The spell dulled her blood until it was just a more delicious form of human blood. If she had pureblood traits in her blood at that time, the vampires would have noticed immediately.

Hino planned this. During the first chapter, Kaien Cross hinted that both of them would eventually be joining the Night class.

I couldn't have explained it better than Psychotic Emo.

Another point was that only Yuuki's blood remain pure here. Remember that there is already a hint that Kaname was "revived". Rido was already awakened (he was revived by Kaname) Kaname could have been dead before too, and it was Rido who revived him at that time, or Kaname's body was used as a vessel for the Kuran's ancestor... I'm thinking its the latter...

So this leaves only Yuuki to have been the only Kuran without need of Reviving. Meaning she is still "pure" in contrast to both Kaname and Rido. There is also a hint of being sacrificed in a certain part of the manga... Yuuki's body must've been what Rido is after....

Spoiler (highlight to view)
everyone loves yuuki's blood because she is Kaname's sister. Since kaname is a pureblood, so is Yuuki, making her blood very tasty! lolz

Damn pervert laugh no

i think yuki's looks is important b/c all born vampires are supposed to be pretty and intellectual. (though she's not very good at her studies, or decision making by means does that prove shes not a genius in other areas.)

But by far the most important is the "family" she's a kuran afterall, the highest of the pureblood.

Spoiler (highlight to view)
of course!! Her blood AND her family.

Of course, Kuran's blood is what Rido is after. I mean, Kuran's blood is supposed to be the richest and thickest, right? Since Yuuki can't control her vampire power just yet (in another word, the weakest), Rido is after Yuuki.

As for Yuuki not being as smart as Vampire should be, it's probably because her blood was not that of a Kuran then. She was just a normal human with human blood. If she has had vampire blood, then Zero would have noticed, will he not? And after Yuuki turned back into a vampire, Yuuki's original power also is awaken inside Zero's body.

In response to those who were trying to counter that Yuuki being a pure blood -wasn't- a plothole:

It's already been stated in VK early on that there is no way to turn a vampire into a human. Wasn't that the entire point with Zero? He had simply lived hoping he could kill his Sire and drink her blood to make him into a perpetually sane vampire. If it is so easy to "curse" someone into a human, why can't they just turn vampires back mm?

And if this so called "curse" only applies to pure bloods, then why not use it on your overpowered enemies who happen to be pure bloods, turning them into weak little rodents (humans) with no supernatural abilities?

It may have been planned (probably was,) but the nature of her turning human is a gaping hole that's just screaming "deux ex machina."
