anyway, i realized how much i like long mangas. The stories are so mch more.... i don't know... real-ish? But yeah. and now i want to read another long shoujo manga, but i can't find any!!! i already read SA and kaichou wa maid-sama, but they were meh. And i started reading Vampire knight and Ouran, but they got so BORING after a while (please don't kill me in my sleep, VK fangirls....). Shugo chara was cute and so was fruits basket, but now i'm out of ideas D: *SOB*
so.... tell me what your favorites were?
and please don't hate me shounen fans, but every shounen i read was somewhat lame. although the art was amusing. what was that one from chobits... with the feathers and different worlds...? i got WAAAY too confused with it, so.... i dropped it. SORRY >___<

okay so most of these are what I read when I used to be into the shoujo manga genre. Most of them are over 6 or 7 volumes. Do you WANT them to contain romance? Because I can find lovely shoujo mangas that don't contain romance like Natsume Yuujinchou and Flat (AOGIRI Natsu)
lol, I never liked chobits. I think you need to try BETTER shounen mangas. Because most of the time, romance-related shounen mangas don't suit us girls taste. I mean shounen-romance manga is aimed for males. You should first try xxxHolic or Natsume Yuujinchou then you might try 07-Ghost or [m]Switch[/m] then finally read 1/2 Prince or D.Gray Man, Bleach, etc (you get my point right?).. Slowly convert to shounen manga. It's best not to read romance/shounen manga first when your a avid shoujo reader.

i did read kodomo no omocha....i think it was my first manga. i almost died from the insane cuteness of it.
I don't really care if it's romance.... i really just started because my friend had a bunch of shoujo and thats what got me hooked. my little sister picked up that chobits one at the library, and i had nothing else to read at the time, so it wasn't really purposeful :/
