Hey there~
While re-reading Dear Green (Sakura Amyuu) for the nth time , this particular scene caught my attention. Sure, I've seen better art and stuff but I guess I didn't take notice of them (trees) before. But after seeing this, I thought...wow trees are pretty. I know there are people looking for beautifully drawn eyes, hands and stuff. I am looking for beautifully drawn trees, flowers or nature(scenery). Something that when I look at it, it'll blow my mind away bigrazz

*While I'm at it...the scene I mentioned above reminds me of a japanese movie. I've never seen it before but I've read the summary and the cover picture is almost the same. Care to tell me what the title is?

THANK YOU PEOPLE~ biggrin

I do apologize in advance if my suggestions weren't that fitting... it's been a while since I've read a good chunk of these...

Ai Hime - Ai to Himegoto -- first chapter!! Fueled my passion to see a cherry blossom tree in real life (still on my to-do list)... ♥ cherry blossom trees
Hanatsukihime?? Hrrm... it is the desert... but maybe it's nice to see the desert once in a while? ^^||
24 Colors -- ahhhh!! Pretty flowers and trees as a focus again!
Kiss/Hug -- errr... her mom is a flower shop owner?
Ai kara Hajimaru focuses on sunflowers for like... the first chapter? (This is a what... 3-chapter story?)
Tokage Ouji -- very rated G story... but I know that the forests get a lot of attention!!

One Shots--
Bus Hashiru!! -- especially... the 2nd story? ♥ that tree... ♥♥
Hotarubi no Mori E (title story)-- forests. biggrin Then there's the more depressing version Kon no Ki Konoha...
Toumei na Sekai there's a pretty lake...
Otogibanashi no Fude -- wow... what a magnificent tree!!

Impressive scans of nature/use of metonymy in anime adaptations...
Honey and Clover -- dude... watch the ending themes... and the 2nd opening theme... well, the entire 2 seasons of the anime... and then, when you see a ferris wheel and/or bicycle wheel in motion, you'll have a feeling of nostalgia... ♥♥♥ (actually, I'm tearing up just thinking about it now) -- there's this beautiful scene in the VERY LAST EPISODE... gaaaah... T_T

Natsume Yuujinchou -- pretty!! pretty pretty art!! Has a soft feeling to it...

Mushishi -- again, gorgeous art... but the story is on the heavy side...

I'm sure there's more... but those are my two-cents... biggrin

Toto's recommendations made me realize I should recommend: House of Five Leaves. ♥ a-typical manga/anime art.

Oh My Gosh! That manga is so totally not my style, but yes IT IS AMAZING!! Thank you for introducing me to a totally awesome manga which I would otherwise not give a double take. PS I was about to drool Heh smile wink grin

Oriana3k:
Those are very nice. I'm very interested in Yokohama Kaidashi Kikou. It's actually on my wishlist, so now I gotta read it! Awesome recs biggrin

hobbitel518:
I've read most of those a long time ago. Thank you for reminding me. Back then, I didn't care for the background trees but I will re-read them and take a good look at the trees...'cos now I've suddenly liked tree drawings bigrazz Oh, there's a couple I've never read yet so thank you for recommending it. I'm sure it'll be awesome.

Watch any Ghibli movie. wink

According to TV Tropes, "Byousoku 5 Centimeter is the epitome of cloud porn."

The anime of Seirei no Moribito has movie-quality sceneries. So does Kemono no Souja Erin, both anime and manga.

Shounen and seinen manga generally have more impressive and detailed backgrounds than shoujo and josei. You'll have better luck with shoujo/josei with a fantasy or historical setting, I think.

Akagami no Shirayuki Hime
Cesare
Golden Days
Hakushaku to Yousei

Um, brain-dead. bigrazz

if you love beautiful scenery, Bride of the Water God is a must read : 1, 2, 3, 4, 5
then Savage Garden, cover chapters often show irresistible arts, and the story has some beautiful sceneries when they aren't inside the beautiful manor : 1, 2
Sad Love Story, only show a bit of scenery, but it's nice as well : 1, love this scene

Kisswood, maybe. I didn't get far into it, but there's certainly a lot of trees.
Amagoi
There's a few chapters in Aria - but most of the scenery porn there is water/city related.

If I remember correctly, Initial D's story is just about mountain roads... 18 pages--with 4-6 being double pages--of road, trees, and sky.

manga from Abe Miyuki. The recent manga. Like Hakkenden or Super Lovers.

Some chapters of Witches (in particular, chapter 3 of the first volume) and most other works by Igarashi Daisuke 1 2
Shuna no Tabi 1 2
Witch of the Flower Forest - oneshot.
Tsuki to Mizu no Yoru 1 2 (lightly shounen ai series).

If you like Adachi Mitsuru's style, Nijiiro Togarashi (1 2) and chapter 2 from Adventure Boys (1 2)have ample portions of mountain/forest scenery.

Edit (more recommendations): The one translated story from Hoshigahara fits nicely 1 2.

Certain chapters from Stardust Memories also fit:
Chapter 2 has numerous forest images, chapters 3-4 both have a couple of pages with trees in the background, and chapter 6 features a fair amount of tree imagery.

Nemuranai Machi kara is a shoujo manga that features an indoor garden as an important part of its story 1 2.
