So what about them? Do they have weight in your decision to read a particular manga or not? Do you find it useful or not?
For me even if I still will likely read a manga regardless the user rating, sometimes when looking for manga to read I only check the ones that have a bayesian of 7.5 or up. I guess I find them useful, though some good manga don't have good averages because of few people rating them too.

Hmm. I usually take them with a handful of salt.
I see so many series get such high ratings when actually, they're pretty damn terrible and vice versa. I prefer to give the manga a go myself.
Ratings can be pretty damn unreliable sometimes.
It plays a minor part on whether I pick up a manga or not. I usually give it a glance and then forget about its existence.

I can't be bothered to scroll down to look at the ratings.

Always scroll down past them whenever I want to look at the comments.

This is the way I see ratings, so I don't really bother with them. >_<

The quality of a manga depends on the person who reads it, so No, I do not look at user ratings when judging whether or not I should read a manga.

I don't particularly care about them.
They are usually very unreliable, and i noticed this after reading some mangas a few years ago, some are terrible and get excellent ratings and the other side of the coin also happens from time to time. Every individual also has a particular rating system which may induce another in error.

I don't really care for 'em. If something seems interesting through the description/pic, I'll read it.

The distribution and number of votes say a lot more than a single weighted average, so I guess I can look at that sometimes.
In order to know what not to waste time reading, though. If something has 4711 votes of 10, and then 42 1s, it's most likely for a crowd a lot more childish than I (no mean feat, that).

Not really, for me the user comments have weight in my decision to read a particular manga, though I'm trying to fix that

I actually like to see what others write about different manga series. It isn't because I weigh others opinion's enormously, but it gives a quick picture of how others see the manga. After reading a manga I like to write my opinion too, to be sure that there is a big variety of comments for people to build an impression of the manga from.

I give them a look, ratings like 1-6 can't really come with a good manga. What I really use to judge are the comments and the description.
I first look at the description, if it interests me I go to the comments and read at least 3 posts with different opinions(1 favorable 1 unfavorable 1 neutral)

I read Descriptions and judge the cover's artstyles to start a title.
I see User Ratings after I rate them, when i'd already finished the titles.

Rather than the ratings, I care more about the comments.
Especially the ones that are really intelligent, with a good mix of objective and subjective statements.

comment and description are the most matter.
but rating does say something about manga. I wont touch manga under 5 rating, because really, it must be horrible.
