the type of stigma I'm referring to is defined as:
stigma (plural stigmata or stigmas)
1. A mark of infamy or disgrace.
I'm looking for manga that has a main character with a mark on their body they're ashamed of and try desperately to hide or keep from view.
It can be a scar(from a burn or a wound), some kind of tattoo or something that is considered taboo(like yakuza back tattoos), or a brand(a mark of ownership like for a slave).
I thought of this request because in the mangas 07-ghost and basara there are characters that are/were slaves and have a brand on them that means they're a slave.

Sun-Ken rock - one of female characters has got huge dragon tattoo on back ( because she is a daughter of yakuza boss)
One piece - pretty obvious one but it has some of it too: Nami with tatto of her previous pirate crew ( i mean Arlong pirates) and Snake Princess Boa Hancock has got tattoo on back
oh and every character is ashamed of it of course

Spoiler (highlight to view)
being proof of that she was slave of Tenryubito( Celestial Dragon)
oh and every character is ashamed of it of course

Kuroshitsuji for sure.
He was branded a slave two years ago, and he's extremely ashamed of this, as he is a noble and considers the fact that he was branded humiliating. Several times he is seen frantically trying to stop someone from seeing it (it's on his torso).
Rurouni Kenshin
He has a scar on his face that is one of the two defining characteristics that people use to identify him as the famous ex-war assassin. Many people hate him for what he did, and the government isn't too happy with him either because he ran away. So I guess his scar is a mark of infamy. It also reminds him of how he got it (someone he hurt very much gave it to him) and he's ashamed of what he did. Only thing is, he doesn't try to hide it or anything.

A cousin of the main character in Hyakki Yakoushou has a large birthmark on her back that has something to do with spirits, and she won't even wear her hair up because she's so ashamed of it.
In +Anima, the +Anima have marks that most try to hide because of the stigma associated with being one of them.

Apothecarius Argentum: One of the main characters, Argent, had a stigma that associates him as being a slave. He's shown to try hiding it on some occasions.

Berserk
Most of the time the brand is only recognized by demons and such (who try to eat the bearer of the mark), but it was also viewed as the mark of a witch for one of the major story arcs.
