What do you think about the Darker Than Black Anime?
I find the seperate arcs that consist of two episodes unique.. But there aren't really any episodes worth re-watching in the beginning..
The only ones that are, are Ep. 15&16 (That's the arc where Amber got introduced..  ) and from Ep. 21 'till 25.. (That's when the story begins to unfold..)
My point is that I found the anime very enjoyable to watch, especially the last episodes.. The battle sequences were usually great too.. And also liked the little bit of romance between Amber and Hei..

I'm just off to see the anime. Have read two first chapters of manga and it looks good. Anime is totally different from manga, right? No bothers, weel, I will watch it anyways.
Willbe back and editing to say what I think, aye.

Yep, anime is different.. Though the main character Hei is still there, and Mao the cat too..

Yup, it is different, but still I can't help but love it. Action is dynamic, the characters are developed and yet mysterious. And the animation *sigh*. I think I've found my favourite anime no. 2 
Stayed up till 7 in the morning, watching first 8 episodes. I'll probably do the same thing tonight, as I really want to know more about Hei and Mao, especially.
Btw, a question, may be spoilerific, so:
Spoiler (highlight to view) When Contractors sign the contract, do they choose their 'payment' by themselves or is it decided by those from Hell's Gate?

I'm happy that thnx to my thread you began to watch and love the anime..  Yes, the animation is gorgeous, no?  Though the animation quality of episode 17 sucked.. But that's the only one.. 
You should really look forward to the episodes that I mentioned in the first post..
The first 8 episodes, huh? So you've already seen November 11.. He's cool, no?

Is Yin in the manga too?

I don't think so..  A shame, 'cause she's a great character.. She's like a sister to Hei, I think..
And yeah, the anime is definitely better than the manga.. This is one of those rare cases where anime > manga..

I've got the anime from Indreju, she sent it to as a birthday gift >.< I must say, she knows what I like xD But yeah, your topic made me more curious and I sacrificed few hours of studying in favour of watching it . So if I won't pass my anthropology exam, I'll blame you! (joking, of course )

I must admit, that November 11 is somewhat cool. Although from their 'coterie' I preffered that black girl. She rocked.

Well, it's not clearly explained in the anime.. Because they don't say exactly who determines those contracts..

For the record, Yin IS in the manga, but they called her KANON. I don't know WHY, but they changed her name. It's possible they're going to change it again, since they might have named her that to go with the Wiegenlied theme. ^___^

Kanon is that Doll with Krang, no? Why the hell is she Yin Kanon doesn't even use water like Yin.
