I'm looking for quirky characters. Someone like Nodame from Nodame Cantabile and the female leads from MATSUMOTO Tomo manga like Kiss, [m]Bijoga Yajuu[/m]. The person that you will response with, "Eh?" without they're trying hard to show that they're different.

Other examples:
I consider Maria from Akuma to Love Song to be quite quirky but it's too much drama for me and I kinda lost that quirky vibe from her after several manga
L from Death Note (although I usually don't read sth too dark)

I want:
he/she to be the main character or the main love interest
a heartwarming or funny romance manga
to be able to find the scanlation online (either ongoing or completed)

A plus:
if you can laugh at how he/she reacts to something
if you cannot understand how she/he thinks about something until they or other people explain it. Maybe their love interess are the only ones who can read their minds or understand them
if it's already scanlated till finished

I don't read Yaoi, Yuri, Hentai, Ecchi

For me... I noticed that MOTOMI Kyousuke likes have quirky characters in her stories. Otokomae! Beads Club is an example.

Harem Lodge and Kimi wa Girlfriend were really cute reads.

Yotsubato! is fun and episodic... so it's a nice "in-between" read.

Maybe Shiawase Kissa Sanchoume or Ouran High School Host Club? There's also Hana ni Arashi? OoOooh!! Kuragehime is entertaining (but I speak for the anime ♥)

yah I figured I could use that category search but some seem to be misleading or not quirky enough for my taste

I forget to mention MOTOMI Kyousuke. I like her manga as well
I already read:
Kimi wa Girlfriend
Shiawase Kissa Sanchoume (but dropped it... I lost interest)
Ouran (forgive me Ouran fans but I do think the mangaka tries so hard to make this quirky)
Hana ni Arashi (I dropped this. Lost interest somehow)

Try Tomodachi no Hanashi. It may not be apparent right away, but read on. The story is told through multiple points of view, with each chapter centered on a different character (think Bokura wa Itsumo).

Morinaga Ai's stories and characters are quirky, too, but they're very exaggerated.

Comedies are usually rife with crazy characters.
