Quite a while since last time I made a request. Ignore the title, I had to condense everything in a short sentence, I'm gonna try to explain it better here.

I'm looking for any kind of manga or anime (preferably seinen, but no yaoi) where a character (A) is totally devoted to another character (B) of the opposite sex who's actually aware of this and try to take advantage of this situation. In particular
- A should never question B's motives, A just lives to do what B asks him/her. I don't care for the reason of A's devotion (could be anything, love, obsession, atonement, pity, being hypnotized, simply thinking that B is pure awesome, etc.)
- B is aware of A's devotion and take advantage of it. This doesn't make B necessary evil, actually B can even care (but it's not necessary) for A, but B definitely doesn't have any problem in using A even for immoral things (i.e. B orders A to kill someone, but B cares if A gets hurt). I don't care if B ends to regret having behaved like that and he decides to stop doing that during the story, but that should happen after a good amount of chapters/time.
- I don't want this to be part of some roleplay thing, so definitely no to something like Nana to Kaoru. Something like DearS also doesn't fit because he just doesn't take advantage of the situation. In general I'd like to avoid something whose only purpose is ecchiness (even if dramatic like Ai-Ren), I'd prefer if there is a action/adventure plot (I'm fine with a mix of the two things, i.e. Dance in the vampire bund would be ok but it's being released just recently here and I don't know if their relationship is gonna develop like I asked.
- Absolutely no to smut story where the guy is just a jerk and a girl fell totally in love with him anyway.

Examples:
Jean-Rico in Gunslinger Girl is probably the most fitting one and the one which inspired me in this request.
I was also inspired, even if it last just one episodes, by Amber-Maki relationship in Darker than Black anime.
In a smaller extent it can also apply for some master-servant relationship in Fate-Stay Night.

Before you ask me, I already checked the master-servant tag, but it gives mostly totally unrelated stuff. My lists are public. Thanks for reading (and eventually answering) me. smile

Death Note immediately springs to mind, though I see that's in your Unfinished list....

No smut? So you wouldn't like a hentai/doujin where a guy goes and hypnotizes a bunch of girls into having sex with him.

I know a bunch of shounen tend to have women hanging around being useless and being devoted.

bleach comes to mind the most, lots of people were devoted to Aizen. Kenshin, Shishio had his woman, Rarely do they take advantage of it, because the women are pretty useless, but that relationship exists.

in the Nanoha StrikerS anime, Dr Scagletti went and kidnapped a bunch of girls and made them into loyal cyborg army ... or something. one line toward the end of the anime mentioned he had apparently stuck his baby inside each of them. I'm not sure if that was a bluff or not, but it made me lol.

Don't really know what to call an evil character is the problem really.

In Break Blade, the Athen's forces have a few women who aren't completely worthless and are reasonably devoted to their generals.

Oh and I suppose Valkeria Chronicles has that stupid bimbo, devoted to her prince. But that anime sucked.

Xenosaga... The video game dunno if theres a manga... had a villian controlling telos.

Sorry I'm having trouble with this, because there aren't alot of fleshed out males and females in such a situation that I've experienced.

besides doujins, with hypnotizm or mind control.

character (A) is totally devoted to another character (B) of the opposite sex
A should never question B's motives

Suikoden 3..there's a lot of characters that's devoted to the Masked bishop.
Spoiler (highlight to view)
Sarah even died together with Luc (the masked bishop) at the ending.

Anne Freaks ..? Not sure. I havent read this for a long time.
Red eyes Krayz and Leila.
Immortal Rain Yuca and Sharem

B is aware of A's devotion and take advantage of it.
Roberto and Christof from Monster?
The members of the cult that worshipped 'Friend' in 20 Seiki Shounen

Hmmm... unfortunately, they are a side-couple... but Riza Hawkeye has this insane devotion to Roy Mustang in Full Metal Alchemist.

Yeah, that's what I don't want (typical shounen useless guy).
I never cared for the mahou shoujo genre until Mahou Shoujo Madoka Magica anime which I love, so maybe I'll try Nanoha next.
I'm waiting for the anime of Break Blade to end, then I'll pick the manga, thanks for the recommendations though.
I pass on Valkyria Chronicles and Xenosaga, they don't interest me. Thanks.

I'm reluctant to try Suikoden since manga from RPG videogames usually always sucked for me, but I'll keep it in mind.
I'll try both Anne Freaks and Red Eyes, thanks. I really didn't like Immortal Rain. Thanks anyway.
I'm already reading (or I've read) everything I've available from Urasawa Naoki, so thanks but I'm quite familiar with his mangas. wink
Oh and btw, I meant that the manga should have both those stuff, I wasn't looking for manga with just one of the two things you separated, but I appreciate your effort anyway.

Thanks, I already watched both anime of FMA, maybe one day I'll try the manga. Is Roy-Riza's relationship more developed in the manga or is it the same? Because I wasn't satisfied with that in the anime.

Don't worry, I'm fine with non-evil characters (maybe I should have said selfish instead of evil), what I want the most is a character who puts his/her goal above anything else and doesn't mind to let the other character do dirty jobs for his/her sake. In a certain way Roy is like this, maybe a little too soft, but unluckily in the anime Roy-Riza relationship is not extremely developed.

Hunter x Hunter - (Can't remember the name of the group... something with spiders. One of the women is completely devoted to its leader.)

Basilisk has a woman who's entirely devoted to the lead man, though he doesn't really feel the same.

Sanctuary - woman becomes devoted to him.

Well, I must say, I'm not (at all) into yaoi. Still this manga is phenomenal, and it fits perfectly on what you're looking for. It has a "gay" love, between to characters, but it's done very subtle and in an excelente way.

I'm talking about the masterpiece that is Osamu Tezuka's MW. If you have some "balls" to pick this series up, do it now!

That series is awesome.

Even if you have an aversion to Shounen Ai, read it, it is most definitely worth it.

I'll add Basilisk to my wish list (Sanctuary was already there). Is the manga better than the anime?

I saw a couple of episode of HxH anime and ugh... is what you said something important in the story or just related to minor characters? Because if it's the latter I'm definitely gonna pass it. Thanks for the suggestions.

I'll consider it. I'll add it on my huge list for now and I'll see if I ever feel to read it (honestly I've to admit that shounen ai makes me uneasy). Thanks for the suggestion.

Flame of Recca has Neon and Kurei, though their relationship is probably not developed well enough for you.

Wow this is a difficult request xD

Gankutsuou : Haydee, Albert are completely devoted to Gankutsuou. He uses them as tools to break into their affluent community and exact revenge. It's an anime.

About Hunter x Hunter: This is a central relationship in the manga. It takes place in the second arc (after the hunter exam). The Genei Ryodan members are completely devoted to their leader, and go to great lengths to protect him. The leader cares about them to a certain degree though.

Less Relevent
Vinland Saga I don't know if this counts, because its same gender. Thorfinn is hell bent on killing Askaladd, who uses that to manipulate him into committing atrocities.

If i think of any better fitting manga, i'll post more -_-

Oh now you make this MUCH easier.

Shin Angyou Onshi

Bah you've already seen it. I can probably do it, especially if you just mean 'main who has a libido'

I sorta understand what your issue is if thats the issue. but alot of that gets into borderline hentai.

Which is what makes it difficult. Seikon No Qwaser was a pretty fun show. but its also smut.

and its kinda the issue making this a difficult request.

You seen Geass?

There are a few series that come to mind that I have not personally read, so I don't want to suggest them.

Yeah I'm gonna need a ruling from you as whats smut and whats not smut.
