I think being born again as a boy would be interesting. A good build and a decent face something not too delicate or rugged and not drop dead gorgeous. Having different views and ideas then me now, maybe pursuing sports and charisma, instead of art and intellect.
Being outgoing and brave... instead of shy and introverted. Born into a decent middle class family with siblings. That way life seems to be smooth and paved on a yellow brick road with little detours and dead ends. Also like to be born in a different country something with an interesting culture and language.

As an animal I'd love to be born an iguana just chilling at the sea bead eating seaweed and coming out to breath and sun bathe.

Quote from Oriolidae
Even in my country, which is said to be one of the most advanced countries concerning equal rights between males and females, the male still has the advantage in countless situations (for instance salary, maternity leave).

I was under the impression most countries favored women on the subject of maternity leave...

yeah, a guy is it. But I'm happy to be a female. In those times. but .... could be funny.

economically better country, Norway, Canada, or Japan, of course. I don't live in a bad country, it just could be better. But worse too, actually. Being from English speaking country would be convenient too, but you can learn everything, so it's not so important.

wah, I didn't realize how perfect my life is. smile

I would want to be me but rich and beautiful and immortal. And with genius level intelligence.

Shame you're never going to get that chance to be born again. I know that was harsh but you fell into that one like a baby near a pond curious about what's beneith the water.

Now call me vain but I love being me and if I was born again I would like to be exactly the same.

I want to be born into a life where I need to struggle for something. I know this sounds masochistic, but it'd be nice. I'd hate it while it was going on, but at the end I'd probably be more satisfied when I accomplished something. Upper middle class doesn't exactly lend itself to struggling. I can't even struggle in school - I just understand it the moment it's been taught to me. Humans, in my opinion, are meant to struggle. It defines us. Not struggling just makes me feel.... lethargic? Unsatisfied? Even when I have everything I need, because I know I didn't make it happen - my parents did.

No, I don't want to struggle in that way - I meant I want to be born poor, or just not rich/upper-middle class.

Aim for something that's impossible - even for you. You may understand everything that's been taught to you, but that doesn't mean that you the school has taught you everything about it.
I had the same problem. Then I decided to apply abroad for school Looking at the things they all do, reading about the long list of achievements, while I sit here on my ass thinking about what can be done, or what I should do, made me realize that, no matter how good you are, you can always be better.

No, I don't want to struggle in that way - I meant I want to be born poor, or in a different era (take the middle ages, for example), where struggling was basically a given unless you were royalty.

You want to be born poor so like be brought up in a slum in brazil. Like in the movie City of God and in the end you shoot your best friend?

Quote from Klapzi
I would be myself again.
Ans as an spiritist I must disgree with people that think not remembering will make the being reborn unuseful
Serial Killers that lost their memories due to a strong hit to the head or mental trauma, after having contact with the people again still show the same understanding of the world.
And good people that lost their memories to the same reason still show the same understanding they had before losing memories.
People that have problems with turning new memories to old memories still show human development even tough they can't remember what happens everyday.
What happened in your life is what changes what you are, but it's not your memories that keep you what you turned into.

Having the same personality and understanding of the world without memories is meaningless. Look around the world and you are bound to find people with similar personalities to yours and what separates you from them, what defines you, is your memories. It's the identity that you have built for yourself, what you think of yourself, what kind of person you believe you are as the result of your experiences.
All the people posting on this thread have their reasons for wanting to be reborn as someone, but that reason would be lost if the memories were to disappear. They would end up not knowing how has their life actually improved, they wouldn't realise just exactly how glad they should be that they have become that someone. It would be no different that dying and just having another creature take up your place.
