err... perhaps LGBT character isn't the best description, perhaps 'one who also fancies the same gender' would be more fitting.

anyway, looking for a manga like these three, in which one of the main romantic interests fancies his or her own gender, (and I am aware of the 'search' tag for this, but there are just to many to go through). There are plenty of non-yaoi/yuri manga with characters such as this, but looking for one where such a character is the main romantic interest.

Examples:
Venus wa Kataomoi - main guy is in love with his best friend.
Utopia of homosexuality - Both originally gay to start with.
Houou Gakuen Misoragumi - main girl character is a skirt chaser, plain and simple.

Maybe Love Terrorist as well, but it hasn't been scanlated.

Haven't read these, but Maria Holic, HEN, Koibito Play and Haru yo, Koi sound about right. The latter three are tagged as yuri, but you can see from the comments that the final pairings are het - so they should still fit your requirements. Girl x girl scenes don't necessarily lead to yuri romance, anyway.
