Kimi ga Nozomu Eien

Kanon/Air/Air movie/Air summer special.

Kanon 2006 was a dissapointment, imo.

Hmm, don't think an anime or manga has made me really cry.
For sure I've choked up a little, maybe 1 tear, but not all out bawling. ;)
I think it's just a sign of how much you're "into" whatever you're reading/watching. Emotion is a powerful thing eh?

I too am a fan of the sappy romance stuff.

I don't think that was my case, not only in that time, but also when my granmother died (in the taxi on the way to the hospital) right in front of me I got home and watched Naruto, when my friend asked if I was watching it I lied saying that it was before she had the heart atack. She was not the first person from the family to die in front of my and my reaction was pretty much the same, when my grandfather died I just thought "it is over". Because of that my friends say that I have no heart or that I will not be able to love and that really makes me wonder if when I have kids will I be able to love or not. I guess I need help in that department.

actually, what u just said makes me believe even more that it was the shock.
and why do u think that loving someone means crying when they die?
some ppl just cannot cry and have their own reactions to the death of close people.

Well... one time there was this one guy passing cars in the lane against us did not get the chace to go ba to he's lane so he took us out of the road, I was looking out the window and when I looked in front he was nearly in front of us and the first thought SoB instead of WtF. The same happened when I got stabbed, ever since I was a kid things that would shock my cousins making them cry would just make me think "what is that all about". Maybe that is the way my brain assimilates shocking stuff, but since even after years after the shocking fact and a lot of conversations about it my thought about the matter is still "what is that all about".

well, again, i dont know if thats ur case, but things like being oblivious to stuff or indifference in a situation where normally u would be freaking out, can just be the brain protection sistem. like- if the brain decides that something that happend is too much for hte sistem, the "danger" will be shut off.
there r many cases of people who forget horrible things that happend to them cuz if they think about it, their nerval sistem will be in danger, and this kinda thing works on a lot of situations.

Well then I think my sistem works half way biggrin , I don't forget about it, but I do think it is no big deal (I nearly died sometimes) sad things are the same.
As for the topic I would like to know what situation made you people cry in the manga you listed.

It left me with VERY mixed feelings. I didn't know whether to cry or be happy at the end, but definitely some tears when watching.

I guess 'coz its an anime and he can't choose everyone bigrazz

I can't believe I forgot about Elfen Lied! Many of you already posted though bigrazz Yea, it made me cry quite a bit.

And also, hope that its not off-topic or anything but what about galges? Ever17 was definitely a tear jerker (I was playing, and my lil' brother was in the room, and I started crying. He made fun off me sad ) Wind ~a breath of heart~ was sad at times too.
