None...those conventions were from the 80s and early 90s. Guys can pretty much pierce as they please without the stigma (unless some people are stuck on the past ). All right men, pierce away!

By the time they know it's a female, it'll be close to the final trimester. Too late to do anything about it. They don't do abortions at that state.

Plus, these people who get rid of female babies are from rural areas. They have no way of finding out before the baby actually comes out. And if they do get rid of the baby at this point, it would be murder. Yes, even in India. Tsk tsk tsk, blatant stereotyping just doesn't work for this century anymore.

uh, no the right ear applies to where i live too. which is in california. maybe it just depends on... nah i dunno i just know it's the right ear in my area of living :] i dont think i've ever seen a guy with his right lobe pierced... but then again i never really look

I think it's the left one. At least, around here. Though in my social circles, earrings on guys are looked down upon either ways. D: And meh, I find it unnecessary, though I don't know... I'm not terribly against it. D: If it fits me, then why not... ¯\(O_o)/¯

They do the most common I've seen is septum piercings.
