Racism is something very complex. We can’t really blame or hate a person that is racist. Racism is something that people are born into…What I mean is that it’s not really a person’s fault if they are racist. They were taught by their society, parents, friends, etc, ever since they were little to dislike a person of another color…for example the Klu Klux Klan..they are extremely case. They almost brainwash their children to hate any other races and to think of them selves as the superior race. If anyone saw the movie Mississippi Burning…would understand what I mean. Well I guess we should be thankful that we grew up in an environment that taught us to be open-minded.

I watched it, but I still find it hard to believe that someone
eats all that stuff that is given to them.

Racism heh? to me it's 2 things.
1. A sickness, a complex. Racists are complex-ed people that need to be healed. The Sources of this complex are divided into the following:

-Education : What you are taught when you are under 20 and Who teaches you anything.

-Social Status : People from the rich society tend to tell their kids to hate poor/average other kids and people. Same goes for poor/average ppl who tell their kids to hate the rich because they are rich. Blame both parties

-Media : We often hear the word race, Caucasian,specs,black,white,frenchie....
WTF ARE WE? DOGSconfused!!!. That word was originally used by the police in their man hunts.

-Corruption from responsible officials: Why the hell do you think groups like the K.K.K Exist? Freedom of speech? lol good excuse x)
Also, The KKK is not the worst group. The bad ones are the ones who operate in a discrete manner and with a high level of efficiency.

Now my second definition for Racism would be " Economical Factor "
Blacks trade Blacks and White trade Whites, guess who are the winners :/

It may be hard to believe but it does make sense...rite? Everything I've learned was taught to me by someone else…and everything I taught myself was based on things others have taught me. Basically, my knowledge and the formation of my perception is constructed and based on what my society has taught me.

Yeah but you can judge if it's right or not based on your own opinion and feelings.

Your opinions and feelings depend on what you believe, and a lot of what you believe is based on what people tell you. Some people believed in Santa Claus or the Easter Bunny, even though they seem to completely defy common sense (not that defying common sense necessarily equates to not existing, but...). Other people believe that all radiation is evil, and cell phones and microwave ovens cause cancer (if they do, then light must be even worse). During the Cold Wars, many soviets agents were planted in democratic countries to spread false rumors and create rebellion.
Ya... beliefs and judgment aren't usually all that unique and personal...

As long as you have the facts and base your opinion on the facts you should come up with a logical solution. If you believe everything everyone tells you then you are just stupid. I'm not directing this against anyone just stating it in general.

I get what you're saying and it makes sense, but I totally disagree. Ignorance is not an excuse and being brought up that way doesn't justify racism to me.

I'm totally against racism but do enjoy an occasional racist joke or two. It's not their (the jokes') fault that they can be so funny. It's just that the best humor derives from cynicism, which is brilliantly proven by contemporary American humor. Prove me wrong.

Like any good Brasilian I am not racist. The most racism you normaly find in Brasil is just teasing, like we call black people "negão" (big niger, it realy does not sounds bad when we say it) and white people "cockroach" (because of the white blood) or "alemão" (german). You can also find white people calling other white "neguinho" (smal niger) on a greeting. Those words might seen racist to you, but for us it really means no harm.

anyone ever beat someone up for being racist or at least acted when witnessing someone being racist?

That was the reason for me to be stabbed in the back like I sayd to mamsmilk and amaranthine.

Yeah, like my history teacher said from last year.. You have to be sceptical.. You don't have to believe everything that the school, media, etc.. says.. You must dare to ask questions sometimes.. If I were grown up in that environment, I would definitely question those methods and way of thinking..

Racism is stupid. I believe that it's alright to say, "I dislike people that eat cats" and go along hating everybody you find out eats cats, but to generalize and say "oh, all ___s eat cats, so I hate them" is dumb. Races can be generalized with, but that's not always right and shouldn't be done. People's likes and dislikes are up to themselves, but this is my personal view on the matter. We're all humans, you know.

what an asinine question. it should be "are you racist" or "is racism displayed through your actions" or even "have you ever experienced racism". I say this because there are so many people who are racist and don't realize it or don't acknowledge it in themselves. I say things that get me labeled as a racist, but racism is favoring one race above all or even one other. I look at individuals and if people are acting in a stereotypical way i tell them so. Basically i treat every one the same way and i just don't give a fuck what they think about me. Call me a nigger! Call me anything you want. It doesnt bother me at all. And if you try to take any rights away from me because of my color, i swear to god you will pay, literally and figuratively.

this is just too complicated...guess i could say everybody should just do what they think is the right thing >.>; which will probably solve the racism problem...but of course! if racism is no more what will stupid humans talk about? oh better keep racism alive, and there's always a piggy white guy and shitty black guy to revive good ol racism
