You ever read the credit pages?

I usually only read them if I know individuals in the group or if there's some kind of special note

Please define "read". I usually don't care what their names are but I usually give the page a quick check for other types of notes or puns, and if there is none I skip ahead. But I try to never skip the credits page entirely, those who have done the work deserves at least that much.

I usually read them most of the time. I always look at other people's credit pages mostly to see if there's anyone I know. xDD

I believe that those kind souls willing to give up their time to cater to an audience they might not know or even like deserve at least to be known. That said, there's no need to commit them to memory, but if you see one of the scanlators of a series you like, thank them ^^

I usually skip them, but then there's groups like Nihil Sine Nefas and their credits pages are so amusing to read that it would be a sin not to read them.

Yeah I read them.

I like the ones with messages or funny little things. I remember Meep/Manwhore scans did awesome credit pages. They nearly always made me laugh. So sad they're inactive =(
I like it when they edit part of the chapter and stick it on their credit page too. Soba-Scans and Trinity BAKumA do that. Trinity on their site rather than the credits but still. Some of them are jokes laugh

No, not unless I know someone in the group (and since I don't know anyone in a scanulation group I never have a reason to read the credits). The only time I do look at them is when they include translation notes (and sometimes I skip over them as well). I might pause to look at a picture they use but I usually just skip it so I can keep reading the manga.

That doesn't mean I'm thankful for all the work they do. I figure it works like the end credits of movies, eh?

I would say "only the special occasion ones".
As long as it catches my eyes, then yes.

well i feel like i have this obligation to the scanlator/translator people.. because i owe them something, if it wasnt for them i wouldnt have been able to read that chapter, so i dont want them to be nameless biggrin

It's all pretty meaningless to me. It puts a name to the work, but without knowing anything about the person behind the name, it's just a string of letters.
I'm aware that the people doing the work would like to be recognized for it, but unfortunately, nobody really remembers people who contribute menially like that to creative projects (the creative stuff being done in Japan already). Most manga dialogue isn't exactly like translating poetry. I really only take note of the scanlation quality if it's bad (well, and the tastes of the group in general).
