or balot? its a developed chicken embryo inside the egg...sometimes there are even feathers >_> *shrugs*

Yeah, I used to eat those whenever my family bought them, but ever since I had one with feathers in it, I haven't had one. Kind of freaky to eat, but with plenty of salt not bad.

My mother ate those while pregnant with me. After seeing them, I cannot for the life of me, try them. dead

I thought these were freaky street food, but I actually like the gizzards though.

WAW! where did you get this pic?!? eek
Anyways, those food in that pic was hugely popular among the masses here in my country.

The food in the first row, extreme right, we called it "Bitukang Manok" or chicken intestine. Its very yummy by the way. wink

I'll give you the names of the food on the first row:

1.Im not sure what it is called because its new.
2. "Helmet" or chicken head.
3. same as #1.
4. Bituka ng Manok.

And lastly on the bottom row:

1."Bulaklak" (I'm not sure to this name) - its a pork intestine
2. "Adidas" - Chicken feet
3. "Beta Max" - A solidified Pork blood named after the first home video format. Its my all time favorite but I stopped eating that food. dead

I just googled "Filipino street food." My mother is Filipina and I've spent some time there. It was very weird to see such things for the first time, but I've tried them all except for the pork blood. I use to love Dinuguan that they sell across from my grandparent's house, until an uncle of mine said it was dog meat no

Check out youtube for "Bizarre Foods" with Andrew Zimmern. He covers alot of food... Some of it is pretty disgusting... crispy guinea pigs, bats... live lobster... chicken feet soup, etc. And that isn't even the worst.

Can't remember what the site was but my cousin once showed me a site about this kind of stuff and "human placenta" was on the list.

Could've been fake though but it seemed pretty legit.

well they do sell placenta in China for consumption ^^
it's really effective for keeping your skin healthy and smooth (really. my teacher actually tried it. last year she was around 60 and her skin was still very smooth O_O)

holy crap. ._.;
I haven't tried anything bizarre 'caused I'm a wuss, but the only thing i forced myself to eat that totally traumatized me was.. Fried crispy cricket in powdered cheese.
Are you drooling yet?

They sell it at almost all the mexican liquor stores around my block for 25 cents. (comes in a pack of 10 crickets? idk)

Anyways, i almost died eating one, It was a dare, i was really grossed out.

But my dad is even more crazier. I'm not sure whether to believe him or not but he tells me his "back in vietnam" stories. So far, he's eated Alligator, frogs, dogs, and buffalo?

I really liked it when I was younger, until I saw some blood in the kitchen and asked what it was. O_O Found out it was for dinuguan. Stopped eating it for a couple of years after that, I think. laugh

Smalahove none It's a delicacy" in Norway.

It's a sheep head, and you are supposed to eat everything including eyes and the brain.

It wouldn't be so bad if they actually didn't leave the shape of the head as it is...But well, the eyes and the brain part is a huge turn off too...

Man, freaky stuff eek. The weirdest thing I've ever tried is chocolate-covered crickets, and even then I only had a tiny bite.
I tried mozzarella sticks with syrup once. That's semi-weird...

BUMP of justice.

Today, I ate Beondegi.
That is.. boiled silk worm pupa.

It is something that I would never like to try again. none

It tasted like cardboard. And the juice those little pupae were floating in was... strangely salty. The idea of eating anything insect-y makes me sick, but on the other hand, it doesn't taste as bad as it looks/smells. >_>;
