Hello, there!

I just watched Pride and Prejudice... and I have to say... it's absolutely spectacular! Now, what I really loved about it was the gorgeous music.

Currently, I'm looking for amazing soundtracks, specifically orchestral, instrumental, and piano music. Examples are The Piano, Amélie, The Last Emperor, and even LOST (fantastic series).

If you could recommend to me any movies with beautiful soundtracks, please do!

Or, if you just want to say what your favorite movie soundtrack is, go right ahead! :]

The only movie that I could thought of is..
The Red violin
Joshua Bell's violin plays were recorded for the movie soundtracks. I love it....
Here's a musical scene from the movie:

Oh yes... Pride and Prejudice (2005) and Amelie have gorgeous instrumentals!!

For some reason... my mind is drawing a blank... but I do remember two/three major film score composers you may appreciate:

Nino Rota (notable for Franco Zeffirelli's Romeo & Juliet and The Godfather)
John Williams (Schindler's List, Indiana Jones, Star Wars bigrazz)
Alan Menken (yes... Beauty and the Beast -- that prologue!! And The Hunchback of Notre Dame -- that chilling opening!!)
Hans Zimmer (The Lion King!!)

Must add more later on... ><

The Place Promised In Our Early Days

It's better if you watch it first.

I recommend you get the movie soundtrack of the French movie, "Les Choristes". The music there is so lovely..."it makes me cry a little"....(quoted from The Importance of Being Ernest). XD

Anything by Trevor Jones. Especially from "Merlin" - here's an example.

Also, you may find something in this topic.

I recommend that you listens to the works of Ennio Moricone, especially the soundtracks from The Dollars Trilogy.

A Fistful of Dollars
For A Few Dollars More
The Good, The Bad and The Ugly
