What do you think of before you go to sleep(when you aren't so tired that you fall asleep as soon as you fall onto the bed)? Happy thoughts, sad thoughts, about your significant other, about the next day, nothing at all, so on?

You say "when you aren't so tired you fall asleep as soon as you fall on the bed", but I don't go to sleep unless I'm absolutely knackered, so I always just pass out as soon as I close my eyes. Therefore I don't think. I just sleep.

Anything and everything. Sometimes I think of something really cool to do or write about, so I get up again and do/write it, then go back to sleep laugh

Same here, but only for the past few days. Before that, I was as plagued by plethora of ideas as turbopheonix. But I also find myself dreaming of happy futures and despair filled 'worst-case-scenarios' all the time before sleeping bigrazz

Mostly nothing when I am tired,
but if I am just forced to go to sleep before I am tired,
then I think of the past, values, what people have said,
why some things have turned as they have, stressing future
events, where have I gone wrong.

In general, very heavy thoughts.

I worry about EVERY tiny thing. It's driving me crazy, but I fall asleep quickly nonetheless. I've also begun slapping myself whenever I think negative thoughts (it works pretty well, though I become more awake by doing so). bigrazz

Well indeed, before I decided to stay up until it hurts to keep my eyes open, I used to go to bed and start worrying about all the work I have left to do and making myself feel sick with guilt at the amount I've only done. But I don't have that problem anymore. I'm too tired to worry about it so I just pass out without thinking. Helps a lot with the stress. Last thing I need is to stress out when I'm trying to sleep as well.
