I'm looking for any manga/light novel with some sort of 'game' in it.
Any sort of game will do, although preferrably containing some sort of fantasy element.
Some examples are:
Virtual reality:
1/2 Prince
Sword Art Online (Novel)
Yureka
The Moonlight Sculptor (Novel)
Strategic-type games:
Liar Game
Enigma
Doubt (TONOGAI Yoshiki) and its sequel Judge (TONOGAI Yoshiki)
Ones where you do something to 'advance to the next level/challenge':
Hunter x Hunter (first arc, and Greed island is virtual reality)
Ueki no Housoko
Or even tournament-style stuff:
MÄR
Kidou Tenshi Angelic Layer
some parts of Deadman Wonderland, 666 Satan and Kateikyoushi Hitman Reborn!
Also, nothing about sports please!

Summer Wars
Accel World
Yu-Gi-Oh - the first seven manga volumes are about games in general, not just cards.
Hikaru no Go
Chihayafuru
The World God Only Knows
National Quiz

Mirai Nikki and Re:Birth both sound excellent.
I've already read Yu-gi-oh, Accel World, and Hikaru no Go.
But i'll definitely try Summer Wars (the whole math genius - hacking plot sounds quite interesting)
I'm slightly put off by the 'making girls fall in love' part of The World God Only Knows, but maybe i'll try that after.
Also, i'm not a big fan of card games like Chihayafuru, since they don't usually involve much action/adventure. And i don't like the old-fashioned art of National Quiz...
Thanks to both of you for the suggestions!

[m]Nana Maru San Batsu[/m] is an excellent manga, and the mangaka is the same as Summer Wars I think. I second Summer Wars as well. It's an excellent manga, great plot and wonderful finale. The anime is superb as well. Definitely something to check if you have high tastes.
hmm~

You should try the Summer Wars movie as well~ The graphics are stunning.
In The World God Only Knows, interestingly, his acting seems so sincere and un-cliche when he's "courting" the girls that somehow I don't mind the whole idea of it.
As for the rest, I see your points. ^^; Welcome!
