well as the topic states I'm looking for manga with an awesome ending. Well if it's awesome or not might depend on every person but as long as you think it's awesome its ok.

now let me explain what I'm looking for...first of all I think you all might have had this situation before - you start reading a manga and it begins really good and you think "great!!!" but then it gets worse and worse (or maybe not?) and then there is an ending which totally ruins everything up until then.

this happened to me a lot..and I'm sick of reading manga that start good and then have an rushed or open or totally unsatisfying ending.

I want something where you think it's worth reading just for the great ending.

here are 2 examples of manga I think are worth reading just for the ending:
Threads of time - 100% what I'm looking for (really awesome ending)
Rurouni Kenshin - the whole story is great but the ending ties everything together

so I hope there are more mangas out there with great endings.

thinks that are a must:
-obviously the manga has to be completely scanlated
-no hentai or oneshots please >.<

thinks that I dislike (doesn't mean I won't read a good manga because it has some of these elements):
-harem, ecchi, a lot of romance (shojo-romance mangas), pure mecha or aliens

thats my little request so if anyone would like to help me it would be great.

I don't know if you will enjoy it, but i LOVED the ending of Full Metal Alchemist. It wasn't rushed and when you read the whole thing i thought it just kept getting better and better.

I really like Threads of Time too. Awesome story and awesome ending.

I am not sure your will like it, but i find RAVE has pretty good ending. At least i am very satisfied with the ending.

I can not think anything else right now, partly because most of shonen that i read has sucks ending, or just blah, or i have not read finished yet.

I also like Neuro ending. Although i wish for more, but it is not so bad.

Not sure if it's what your looking for, but Sailor Moon has a decent ending, the mange at least. Though the story drags a bit.

Basara has the best ending.ever. The length of the ending even extends up to 2 volumes, and tells the fate of the side characters and flash-forwarded to the future (Quite similar to the flashforward type of ending in Rurouni Kenshin

Emma's ending is very good too. It follows similar ending format like Basara and Rurouni Kenshin, extended chapters on the side characters. In the anime, there's even a flashforward ending.

Doll: IC in a Doll has a really good ending. The plot starts off having short stories that doesn't seem to connect with each other. Later, all these stories intertwined and tied up as it reaches the ending. Love this.

Evangelion dj - Re-Take and Neon Genesis Evangelion dj - Evangelion Re-Take After doujinishi series are the best ending for Evangelion anime. Most readers even see this as 'canon'.


Merupuri probably fits. It does have a satisfying ending.

I also enjoyed reading the endings in Night Exile and Bokurano. They made me cry...in a good way.

Threads of Time got one of my favourite endings, too.
Others I liked:
Ping
Melodramatic Library (this one is fun)
HEN (first it was funny and unusual, then it got boring and then there was the ending)
Kurohime(I hate the ending, but the ending of the ending is still awesome in one way or another...)
Reqiuem for the Phantom (anime) the ending made me sad and rage at wiki spoilers (misunderstood the spoilers somehow) still liked it though

i second Basara. i really like those appendixes especially the appendix 11, Wakara. i also like end extra of Sora wa Akai Kawa no Hotori, Kikuri's day. i'm not really satisfied with Emma. there's still so many things i wanted to know.

Sora wa Akai Kawa no Hotori - ^^ yes the ending is really good. I really liked it, too.
Basara - also a great ending (a little bit too long) ^^
Kurohime - I stopped after the first arc because I thought that was a good place to stop (I cryed a lot and didn't want to go on reading because I feared the quality would trop)

if the quality didn't and it's worth reading I'll start the second arc. ...so can someone pls tell me if it's any good?

Emma - I tryed it but could't get into it >.<

Night Exile - has been on my list for a long time ...I'll start this one next ^^

RAVE - I watched the anime..is the manga better??
Full Metal Alchemist - I LOVE it! ..but haven't fiished it jet XD

The manga for RAVE is way better, the anime got cancelled because of low rating in the middle of the story(the anime can't do justice to the manga). Must must read RAVE. And if you like RAVE go read Fairy Tail.

I watch FMA brotherhood, i am sure the manga ending one way or another will be more awesome.

Basara is a great manga, but the ending a little bit too long too in my opinion.

Full Metal Alchemist
Mademoiselle Butterfly - (It's a shoujo with romance, I don't know if you are going to like but I love how this manga finish)
Orange Yane no Chiisana Ie - (Same has Mademoiselle but this one is a Seinen)
Psyren
Zettai Heiwa Daisakusen - (Same autor as Mademoiselle Butterfly)

Really hard to find manga that have satisfying endings... mostly because no one wants any manga to end :< In my experience, I'm usually disappointed in how they end, but they gotta end sometime. Mangakas want to pursue other projects and etc.
Ga-Rei had a good ending (and is one of my all-time favorites), but it depends on the reader. I wanted to see another arc develop after the ending in another series perhaps, but the author went to a completely different series ;/
Kurohime is another of my all-time favorites even though I hated the ending. So many lose threads ><
Vampire Juujikai (Record of Fallen Vampire) is another example of an iffy ending but a great overall read.

Hajime-chan ga ichiban: (15 vol - show biz Japan) it's a shoujo manga, but not so much romance i think
Paradise kiss: (5 vol - fashion, design) the ending is not the usual happy-ending like other shoujo manga, but at the same time it's realistic and surprisingly good.
