I'm having the same problem, yesterday it worked fine, but today I can't edit anything on my lists.
I thought it was adblock's fault but it isn't.
I'm using firefox 4, going to try another browser now...

Edit: It works fine on Google Chrome

I've been having the same problem for the last couple days as well. I'm using google chrome and I've cleared my cache, cookies, and browsing history but I still can't add any series to my list, or change their reading status, or update how many chapters I've read.

EDIT: I've tested out some other sites with javascript functions and they work just fine. It's only on this site that I'm having problems with any functions using javascript.

I tried using Firefox just now and everything works fine on it, even this site... so I guess it's just an issue with Chrome.

...That's weird, I'm having the opposite problem, everything works for me on chrome, but it doesn't work in firefox ._.

javascript httprequest stuff isn't working for me in firefox 3.6.18, works in IE tab though. Requests to http://www.mangaupdates.com/ajax/chap_update.php are returning empty in FF but in IEtab i get
add:<a href="javascript:addReading(0)" title="Add to reading list"><u>Add to <b>reading</b> list</u></a>&nbsp;&nbsp;<a href="javascript:addWish(0)" title="Add to wish list"><u>Add to <b>wish</b> list</u></a>&nbsp;&nbsp;Add to: <select class="inbox" onchange="javascript:if(this.value!=''){addOt her('0',this.value);}"><option value="">Select...</option>
<option value="2">Complete List</option>
</select>

Have you emptied your cache and deleted your cookies?

I just had the same problem. (And yes, I know this thread is about a year old)
After I deleted my cache and my cookies, I encountered the problems mentioned already (state of neither chapter nor list could be changed).
It worked only after I went to the options menu and deleted all my cookies over there. Thanks for the pointer, it helped.
