Mystery with gay subplot?

Hi, I'm looking for a mystery or perhaps supernatural series where the main character is an investigator(crime or paranormal) and also in a gay relationship. Both yuri and yaoi is fine. I don't want the relationship to be the central plot or particulary dramatic, just there in the background. Any suggestions..? thanks anyway.

Interesting request, but these kinds of stories are sadly lacking in the BL / GL department 
If you don't mind (American) novels, you might want to try the PsyCop series by Jordan Castillo Price. I haven't read any of the books yet, but they do get pretty good reviews on Amazon.com, so it can't be bad.
As for manga, maybe Border? Haven't read that one either, but it sounds about right.
GL with this theme is even more difficult to come by. I think the closest I've ever seen is the R.O.D. anime -- which is really only subtext, not actual yuri.

if you don't mind light novels and the relationship not being subplot but about 50/50 with the detective part I wouldl reconment esu. One of my favourites ^^
