No.

I know nothing.

Except the odd word here and there from watching lots of anime laugh

I would have picked "I wish", but I'm never gonna bother to learn it, so there's no point in even wishing when I know it can't happen.

I have been studying Japanese for 2 years, but I have it only as an elective course, so my knowledge is still pretty basic sad I do plan to continue studying it after I graduate, though. Maybe even go to Japan one day if I get the chance.

No I don't know Japanese but I know lots of words that I don't use in public. Only as jokes with my close friends in private places.

I'm bad at learning grammar.
I got kicked out of my french immersion school in grade 8 for failing.
I may not have gotten the grammar but I had the best damn accent. mad

I lived in Japan for one year so I speak it pretty good. Maybe not as fluently as I would like but good enough to get by. ^^ (Kanji is still a bitch though bigrazz)

I can't speak Japanese. I know a few words and that's it.
I know the kanji for "ah" and for "yeah" (which is basically 2 ah together...)
And I'm proud of that!

Your point? laugh

Having the right accent is nice and all,
but unless you can communicate it won't help you much, would it?

I can speak/read/write Japanese fluently, though I still use the kanji dictionary and still find it difficult to grasp some of the more vague idioms.

I also think that's its disrespectful to the culture to go around saying kawaii and baka all that acting like you know Japanese just because you watched some anime.

I don't really mind that, actually, but sometimes it can be very amusing to my brothers. Though I admit, I get really uncomfortable seeing a group of non-Japanese cosplayers going into the Japanese markets only to buy boxes of pocky.

I can actually communicate in french but when I have to write in french it just has fail all over it. It's because my moms side is french canadian so they only speak french to me, but I never bothered writing in french. XD

日本語がすこし

I am still learning. I can recognize hiragana/katakana,
still have some trouble with a few of them.

A few kanji that I use regularly...but my knowledge is really spotty.

No I can only speak French, Spanish, an English and I can translate Latin (speaking it desecrates it). I probably should have taken Japanese instead of Latin. It's probably more useful, but oh! The history! Probably would have been easier too, but that's debatable.

I swear though, nowadays, I know more Korean than Japanese. xD And I catch myself singing in Korean all the time too...

I want to take Japanese in college for my foreign language. n____n

Watch anime for a while and you'll pick up a few things.

Lol, and that's actually true. "Unfortunately" for me, I turn off any sound right from the start.

I'm planning to learn japanese in college, since my high school doesn't offer japanese and learning by myself I can't pronounce very well. I know a little bit of kanji since it's similar to chinese characters.

I can understand it way better than I can speak it. I can read it too, but I don't know all the kanji.
^_^; I'm on my way.
