Has anyone else read the ending because for me it was epic, and I know someone else has to share my opinion.

I have, and it really blew my mind. The whole manga is just plain genius.

I really enjoyed this manga, so I had high expectations for the ending. IMO it was a letdown.

Spoiler (mouse over to view)
It throws away all subtlety and hits you over the head with its philosophy via dialogue. The war plot, which had the potential to create a cataclysmic ending, turned out to be basically pointless other than to provide Kano with his line re: jobs, and nothing particularly interesting happened in the last hunt either - yet again, it was just Kano kicking ass. Which made the Yamada scene more significant, sure, but the philosophy of this manga was too basic for the story to rest on it and be wholly satisfying. Various plot points were left unresolved.

Could best be summed up by T.S. Eliot: 'This is how the world ends - not with a bang, but with a whimper'.
