I'll just suggest my top 10 favorites

1- Psyren (very personal here... I loved it but I wouldn't recommend it to everyone, so try it if you think the summary sounds interesting.)
2- Hoshi no Samidare (beautiful, perfect manga. I strongly recommend it, amazing characters, story, drama and really cool comedy sometimes)
3- Id (read only if you like fantasy and a lot of battles. The story is very good but takes a while to kick in seriously)
4- Onani Master Kurosawa (may look stupid but it’s actually a very good psychological manga, the beginning is kinda weird but the story develops nicely afterwards)
5- Bakuman (most people probably know this one so… I recommend it anyways)
6- Berserk ( amazing art and amazing story. Must-read if you don’t mind some gore)
7- The Breaker (Amazing characters and a really awesome pace. Has lots of action and some cool comedy. Very well done.)
8- Shingeki no Kyojin (recent manga. Amazing so far)
9- Densha Otoko (Really sweet, short romance about a hopeless otaku. Very fast paced and funny which made it a priceless read)
10- Watashitachi no Shiawase na Jikan (Must read for everyone who likes strong emotional drama. It’s small and so damn strong emotionally, unbelievable)

Also, if you have time and want to try out a novel, definitely try this out: Utsuro no Hako to Zero no Maria (Novel). I know the summary looks kind of dull but it is spectacular. Trust me and read the first volume, I could almost assure you won't regret it

If you have so much time then here are some others you may want to check: Shin Angyo Onshi, Kimi no Iru Machi, Suzuka, Sengoku Youko, Battle Royale, Veritas, Fujimura-kun Mates, etc...

Umineko no naku koro ni, hands down. But if you're not into horror/mysteries then I'd highly suggest Superior and its sequel Superior Cross. Best manga I ever read. But if you're a really shoujo-y kinda person then go for Love So Life. Which I found to be pretty good. biggrin

Just have to say, my all time favorite ever is Please Save My Earth. It's old (nineties) and kind of hard to find, but simply amazing. Mars and Eternal Sabbath are also good. Those are all shojo/josei, my favorite shonen/seinen are Death Note and Hellsing. And Blame! is good, but mostly just interesting and totally not categorize-able, except that it's somewhat violent and futuristic. The art is fantastic and the story is fascinating, but there's not much dialogue.

One Piece
Eyeshield 21
GTO
Full Metal Alchemist
Samurai Deeper Kyo
Ruroni Kenshin
Liar Game
Witch Hunter

I've read a lot of manga and these are the top ones that standout in my mind.
