EDIT: About two years ago I made a request for this; now I want basically the same thing, but some minor changes.




This time, I'm looking for manga with plots more or less like, "playboy falls in love with a dominant girl." As in, the guy used to mess around with a lot of women until he actually falls in love with one, and she can lead him by the nose. The best example I can find is Kawaii Oresama. Thanks for any suggestions.

Shaman King for sure. only problem is that romance is not the main focus.

The other one looks good, too, but there's a tag on the page that says "partial nudity," so I don't know if it'll last long... but I appreciate the suggestion, so I'll give it a try.

Kirai- never read it, but from the summary, it seems that he is trying to win her over and that he's a playboy and something.

Similar to this (based on the summary) that I have read: Mamotte Agemasu, now this one definetly has that femdom vibe, in fact I'm gonna add the tag right now...

Another one I remember is Ikenai Candy Love oneshot, this one's short and sweet.

Are you looking for a sort of girl that has control of the relationship, but it's played as kind of "cute"? Not in the least bit smutty, right? I know plenty with a dominant female, but they're not all that sweet. Sorry I didn't read your lists. Also, the guy has to be bit of a lech?

For this request I'm going to go with my above assumption.

Her Majesty's Dog It was years ago. I remember that the male lead was popular...but whether he can be classified as a playboy that's another thing entirely.
We Are Still...! Initially it can be interpreted as him cornering her, but it reveals itself to be nothing like that. It's manhwa and, again, the playboy thing is negotiable. Not complete.
Mahoraba The guy is pretty passive, not a playboy. It's classified harem but aside from being surrounded by girls it doesn't have the feel. It's a cute read.
Otokonoko wa Hachimitsu If I remember correctly the first story, again not a playboy. But it is kinda cute.

May be pushing it with these:
Mysterious Girlfriend X bizarre warning, plus not a playboy.
Urusei Yatsura I've heard this may fit, but IDK how dominate the girl actually is. It's more a shounen and might not give that "awe" vibe. The male is a bit of playboy (mostly a perv, I think) but also a buttmonkey. The female seems to be a type B tsundere.
Oooku Especially one of the couple's in the beginning.
Hot Blooded Woman Don't be fooled.. Also, it's not manga it's manhwa. It can be "sweet" and "cute". It's one of the VERY few works I like of Hwang Mir Ri's.
I second Kirai. It seems to be what the OP is looking for.

Yeah I know about some femdom manga that are kinda smutty, but I was in the mood for something light. ^_^ (Plus if they derail into abuse situations... not my thing.)

Hm I guess another way I could ask is that I'm looking for the characters to have 'reversed roles' from how they normally behave. Like, the boy typically gets what he wants from women, but suddenly he finds a girl and his life revolves around pleasing her. (I don't really have a preference with the girl... she doesn't have to be even 'dominant,' per se, just the one with the power. It would be nice if she wasn't stupid, but I'll still take airheads who don't really realize they're in charge.)

Maybe this broadens my request a bit?

Cutie Boy By Hwang-Mi Ri with a bit of the twist. I don't want to spoil anything. It's more like he's conceited than a playboy. It's been implied he's seen other women, but nothing more than that. It's in the same boat as Hot Blooded Woman. Everything dramatic is won out by the humor.

He's Dedicated To Roses Really takes on the guy acting like a fool for a girl much like Cutie boy and Hot Blooded Woman. But the reason he falls for girl are under less reasonable circumstances.
Choco to Mint to Might fit.
Tonari no Kaibutsu-kun Guy falls in love first at least. He's also a prime instigator of their relationship, but the girl is a study bug and has no time for him.
Soryanaize Darling It's not Shoujo; it's Josei. So adult themes. But it's really cute and I consider it a light read.
H2O But I think it's too heavy. But I read this when I was younger and I recall it being cute.

I think I should warn you about Hwang Mi-Ri's works. Or at least the works that I support and like. You mentioned something about dislike abuse. I haven't put anything on here that constitutes as abuse. The male leads are aggressive and can be downright cruel. Except in He's Dedicated To Roses. There can a lot of drama, but the humor takes out all that and they're not bad and just have an odd way of showing affection. Each suffer has a result of their affection and are, arguably, more vulnerable than the females. The girls have proven instances of not being stupid and being quite formidable.

Despite having heavy moments, the humor is good. Also, there are tons of cute moments in each that I've mentioned.
