Quote This question is 100% hypothetical, just wondering.
Let's say a group didn't want to appear on mangaupdate, or if they didn't want their releases listed. Their hypothetical reason would most likely be legal, but whatever reason was would MU honor their wish?
I am pretty sure they will respect your wish, Name-Undecided.
Years ago, someone reported and announced my translations here. It was never meant for public. It's just for fun and intended for some friends community only.
I contacted the people in charge about the problem. I think the admin called Manick removed it for me.
Then there's also one time when someone stole my text translation and use them for their group without my permission. And Manick once again solved the problem for me.
If i remember right, i think MangaScreener also have the same problem about stolen translation and Manick instantly removed the releases and ban the group.
Quote I get that it's hypothetical but... I have a question, is there anything actually wrong with having your release announced? It's not like they're providing download links or providing fans with an online reader. I mean MU is a good site for people to find new manga that are being scanlated to read and the point of scanlation is for the fans to read, so why limit the chances of having people find the manga you scanlate? I was just curious. ._. I think they would respect it.
Not everyone want so share it with public. Some just do it for fun and some just want to share it with their friends.
