Rose of Versailles.
Still a popular, ground-breaking, and often referenced manga that inspired anime, musicals, merchandise. It's so good!

Basara immediately came to mind (after Glass Mask, of course smile ) I think I might go re-read this now

Hana Yori Dango .. arguably the mother of contemporary shoujo

Tokyo Crazy Paradise

perhaps Mars?

As for shounen, while I believe current Epic stories like Naruto and One Piece will be able to stand the test of time, 666 Satan is a complete shounen that I will always be able to re-read.

Seconding Rurouni Kenshin.

I know this doesn't fit the credentials, but something to be on the lookout for: 7 Seeds. This story has already proven itself to be a masterpiece and hopefully after it ends readers will enjoy it for decades to come.

Mars
Angel Densetsu
Lovely Complex
Bitter Virgin
Full Metal Alchemist
Fruits Basket
Tokyo Crazy Paradise

These are all completed. I have read all of them multiple times and have no doubt that I will continue to re-read and enjoy them. I consider them all masterpieces in their own way, though Mars may be the most similar type of masterpiece to your example Glass Mask. I also agree that 7 seeds is excellent and I have high hopes of it. If you are interested in "ongoing masterpieces" I have some I could recommend for that as well. I hope that I am understanding your request correctly.
