Apparently they deployed more police forces during the Royal wedding than their initial actions against the rioters in London. I have nothing against the Police but I'm very disappointed with how they handle this situation.

unfortunately our police are shit. our goverment is shit. ( though it doesnt help due to budget cuts, they having to cut 34,000 jobs! but then again they were useless to begin with).

if they had handled it properly in the first place maybe it wouldn't have got so bad. its just causing trouble for everyone else and now its spread to other places.
now the footie match at wembeley has had to be called off!

this thing took people by surprise and also there are not thousands of people on the streets like there were at the royal wedding so the chances of the public being physically affected is very slim also there isn't any really danger of panic like there would have been at the royal wedding. this is just a bunch of stupid people doing stupid things.

Before you insult the Police realize that those are peoples mothers and fathers, mothers an daughters putting their safety on the line. the is no place for foolish heroism. if you can do better
and stay within the law and still have the public's support join the police.

3 muslims killed in a hit and run in Birmingham when they were out protecting their community. One of them was a newly wed and his wife is 4 months pregnant.

The father of one the victims saw his son dying and tried to resuscitate him with CPR.

In times like this it should be legal to use real bullets against them.

don't be an idiot, killing your citizens to protect building s a stupid move for any government, and could lead to civil war. just because they are idiots doesn't mean they deserve to die or hospitalized.

another man is dead. so far 5 people are confirmed dead.

A woman comes home to a burnt house after riots.

most of the rioters were kids under the age of 21 apparently, but it's hard to not feel the anger Nisseman feels when also living in a free country and seeing the crimes committed in the name of fighting "oppression" - b/c of animals like this kid i am inclined to agree with Nisseman

we had the same thing happen over here in the states this summer in Philadelphia and last summer in Oakland,Ca and Los Angelos (really makes no sense: people disagree with court verdicts so to show their unrest they loot and burn down completely innocent mom and pop shops and small businesses unrelated to government in any way.... yeah that will get the point across)

watching NBC40 w/ Brian Williams a 9 year old boy on the news in London said it best, "It's a very small number of stupid kids doing this, but they see something they don't have and they want to show their power to take it."

but the last news i report i saw Friday was that community watch groups are organizing with the police to apprehend the protesters, viral internet campaigns have been donating to help rebuild and reimburse injured people, and now thousands of suspected rioters have been arrested - the police apparently had to set up protection for rioters released from custody so that they weren't beaten by angry mobs of people they terrorized on nights before eyes not sure what else has happened since though

I'm not sure if it's just me but I'm not surprised at all regarding what has been going on in Britain. Once you know English football hooligans, you get to know Brits.

That's really bad if you're comparing all us Brits to football hooligans. I actually take offence to that considering that I am English, I don't like football and I am not a hooligan. Where do you get this crap from seriously?

That's going a bit far trying to generalize all the British people in the UK. In a year filled with independence problems and rebellions, I can't say I'm surprised that it has happened again, just not with England.

You Brits are a bunch of.. ahem, "football" hooligans. That's where the bulk of your riots occur. That and pubs. Good thing you don't have the right to bear arms. Nothing says "moy tame ez bettah mayt" then a bullet. laugh ....
I'm sort of glad these riots occurred. I've procured many expensive items sold dirt cheap on eBay. Had half a mind to buy 21 Nikes all for the right (or left, can't remember) foot for like $10. Couldn't find the other 21 matching shoes though.
Honestly, I'm surprised Britain is as strong as it is. They turned the whole of Africa into a desolate war-zone and tried to force them into democracy. Yet, we (Americans) get all the guff for enslaving a few thousand of them none Ha, oh well.
Wait... what were we talking about confused

Lol are you trolling? If not then this is really stupid. Lets start by saying that around about 2300 people have been arrests with connections with the riots and about 1000 of them have been charged. Okay lets say 3000 people where involved in the riot that's only like 3% of the population of tottenham where it started which is around 100,000 let alone the popluation of Britain.

Now if you're on about football hooliganism then you're kinda going off topic but I will just say that yes we are notoriously infamous for a lot of football hooligansim but again this does not mean that these people represent our country. British people shouldn't be generalised by the actions of the minority of these people.

So, they moved the riots up to Manchester from London...something about copy cats. Perhaps they have better trainers and tv's in Manchester, what do you reckon?

Football hooligans? Yeah...so just the other day, man u (football team) lost. So i went to my local co-op that I use almost everyday, that helps and supports me and burnt it to the ground because Man u lost.
Pssh...please, these people are just a mob looking for a good excuse to steal...not hooligans. There is a big difference between the two.

Maybe the police should just Mascare a good 50 odd rioters...and say they "think" they saw a terrorist. laugh That'll make them think twice.

--------------------------------------------------

Ok, but honestly...the new goverment isn't that very good. I'm surprised he's in power tbh, we are in a recision but some of the cuts he makes are a little OTT. Gives the rioters a little more of an excuse.

Example; If you are a rioter and you live in a council estate you are automatically evicted and made homeless.(scare tactics..well done.) Here's the best part...if you live in a house hold of five (random no. could be any no.) and one of your brothers commit this crime of being in the riots, the whole family is also automatically homeless complements of the new prime minister.
Instead of giving longer jail sentences...this is his answer to it, F*&King stupid. What does he think they will do when they are homeless. laugh
