Who do you think Kyoko will end up with? Like alot of people, I'd LOVE for her to be with Ren, but I can't help but feel that after 10 or so more volumes of beating around the bush she'll just end up with Sho. I mean, it IS a shoujo manga. What do you guys think?

Well i really do hope she ends up with Ren. Im pretty sure she will but not after a huge showdown between Ren and Sho.

I think it might be Ren, just because he is the one who has had such an effect on her, and is the most often seen love interest.

But knowing shoujo manga, it could easily flip to her being with Sho. After all, he was introduced first.

I think she'll end up with Ren because of the whole past secret friendship part of their relationship. By also having a past (strong) friendship with happy-enthusiastic-naive Kyoko, Ren is up to the same basis as Sho. Also, Nakamura seems to be building up a big angsty past for Ren, further pushing me to believe that she'll and up with him.

However, that's not to say they won't further develop Sho's character and change my opinion. But for now, I think she'll and up with Ren.

I think it'll [b]definitely[\b] be Ren just 'cause he is the male lead in most descriptions. And the fact that he shows up a helluva lot more often than Sho.
Despite my love for Sho (the romance parts always seem to move when he's around...), Kyoko'll be with Ren...preferably after a showdown between them. xD

it'll all depend. i want to say ren but seeing that in the last series she wrote, she had the uncle obsessed with the girl, so i don't know for sure.

although, i think i speak for almost everyone when i say that i think we would murder her if she made kyoko and ren related.

For sure.. I mean I start reading Skip Beat since nearly 5 years ago (and at that time there were already like 18/19 volumes translated I guess), rereading it a few times a year, and continue to pray and pray for the miracle of Ren X Kyouko. I will feel betray if they did not end up together! I might even make a petition for the ending to be changed if they did not make it (So what if I'm Ren fanatic... Banzai REN!!!!!!!!!!!!

As for me, I'm definitely rooting for Ren. However, after reading the series for a second time, I find that there is a certain feeling of freedom between Kyoko and Sho. I really love that and I'm actaully liking Sho a bit more. He definitely makes things interesting. The only thing I find frustrating is that there are always misunderstandings between Kyoko and Ren. I get that the story needs those misunderstandings to a certain extent, but it'd be nice to see them interact playfully while on the same level for once. To me at least, their relationship needs those joyful moments as well. Oh, and Beagle boy should come into play a little bit more.... He adds that certain supernatural zing that is pleasant when used tastefully.

As for the comment that said she may end up with Sho since he was introduced first (sorry, I don't mean to be rude. I'm just on my phone and can't scroll back to see your name), I disagree with you. I don't really feel that Skip Beat is a typical shoujo. There's a certain air about it that seperates it from the cliches of the whole genre of shoujo. Kyoko is one of those heroines that really stick out. The author, I think Nakamura is the name, has done an excellent job of showing the character developments throughout the story. I find that I'm actually interested in what's going on as opposed to just reading the story to see the guy and girl get together in the end. But, those moments when Ren flashes that "King of the Night" look certainly don't hurt

Anyhoo, I root for Ren but still want more from the relationship between them than just romantic tension and dramatic past events coming into the light. Ren needs to show a bit more confidence! So to answer your question, I think/hope she'll end up with Ren. I think that the author's building up the relationship between Kyoko and Ren with the latest chapters. And it helps that the President is totally in on the whole thing between them. I also agree that it's not going to happen until Ren and Sho have a HUGE duel and Kyoko realizes that each one has developed feelings for her in such a blunt way that she has to finally make the choice.

Ill be really disappointed if she ends up with the waste of life commonly referred to as sho. He is a pompous annoyance with the mentality of a five year old, and no respect for women. There are love rivals, in other stories, who attempt to rape the protagonist that I approve of more than that pathetic scum. Tbh I hope he dies in the series.

Of the ones remaining, I'd say ren is the best fit.

I feel that Sho is just there for humor and to push the romance by acting as a third party, similarly to the reino guy. The current arc now just affirms that nakamura is intending to pair kyoko up with ren. she is making kyoko heal ren from his past & then they'll move forward with kyoko learning more about ren to eventually fall in love with him. well unless she comes up with another arc on sho, i doubt kyoko will end up with sho.

If we are talking about male partner here for the heroine. I 100% agree that Kyoko will definitely end up with Ren because the author has been developing their relationship since the start of the story. I've re-read Skip beat for 5x now and all I can see is that Ren's character has been developed more with his painful past, his relationship with his parents and his love for kyoko compare to his rival sho w/c is so under develop and the only purpose is to add spice on kyoko and ren's love story.

Skip Beat is not like any typical shojo where the heroine ends up with the rough guy like hot gimmick or fruits basket. The reason why this is one of the finest manga out there is because nakamura yoshiki make her main leads 3 dimensionals so I think she will give Kyoko Ren because the author is developing both their characters as the story continues in the end.

i hope and want it to be Ren if it's Sho i will cry and be heartbroken
