What is the best way to translate a dialect or accent of the original language that is not the norm (e.g., Kansai-ben)?
Different country's English accent (e.g., Irish or Australian)
Different American regional accent (e.g., Southern)
Have the character use different slang (e.g., 'pops' instead of 'dad')
Minor speech pattern differences (e.g., dropping the 'g' in '-ing' words)

Please people, please stop changing the demographics to josei. Aria by Kodansha is a shoujo magazine. It doesn't matter if this manga has a more matured development or if Aria is supposedly targetted at an older audience. The kanji has furigana so it's shoujo unless Kodansha changes its target demographics. smile
