Yes, I want them back in the manga but not as main characters of a current arc. They are both just out of place in this kind of shonen battle manga. Leorio can't fight at all, Kurapika's powers are very limited. Unless Tohashi goes back to a more adventure-style shonen, they both have nothing to do in the manga, maybe a side story will do.

That's exactly why I love HxH so much. It managed to surpass my expectation constantly, at least until Chimera Ant arc. I enjoyed it when it started but expected that all four main characters are going to stay static, just raising their power-levels and adventuring without any real goal. Then they split up and it was never the same( even when they teamed up again), everyone changed a bit just like in real life, Leorio had his life to live instead of doing random things like fighting in Tournaments/studiying magic arts, Kurapika had his revenge to do, only kids were left to do childish things. Thats quite realistic.
