Okay, seeing people say that this is good, I put it on my wish list. the plot doesnt seem that inviting to me, nor does the categs and genres. and im not a fan of post apocalyptic stuff. but this was the same thing i aid about basara. basically, the only shoujoish sci fi i've enjoyed so far are Immortal Rain, Basara, and a few others. Most of the stuff that gets me hooked are romances, historicals, fantasies and those with deep stories. i can handle a lot of mature stuff like heavy smut but...i'm not that into gore. art has to be passable too. heroines/heroes shouldnt be stupid. Anyway, looking at my preferences, do you think I'll be able to go through with this? I've read all the comments and posts so far but I need a lil bit more encouragement. What do you think?

Why are you asking about this people who don't know you personally? You're going to read a whole lot of praises to the series from its fans or negative responses from those who don't like it; that would provide nothing that you couldn't learn from the already written reviews and comments anyway. There was an attempt to compare Basara and 7 Seeds once, see for youself if it might be of help. They didn't touch the subject of graphic content in that thread though; but someone who can stomach the level of violence/nudity in Basara and Immortal Rain shouldn't be distracted by that in 7 Seeds either.

Well, the only way to find out is reading it yourself. I would suggest you to check it out, read a volume or two and then decide to keep reading or drop it.

OOOOH. Oh well, I'm still starting on Kanata Kara so I might put it off a bit more. Thanks for the replies though. If it's more of sci fi -ish than romance and drama, I dont think I can enjoy it as much as most do.

Basara is also post-apocalyptic. If you have read Basara, then I assume the art and the story is okay with you so 7 Seeds shouldn't be much difference (in a sense). Plus, if you're reading Kanata Kara, that one is more science fiction than 7 Seeds.

I've read Immortal Rain, Kanata Kara, and Basara and all are among my favorites. When it comes to 7 Seeds I think in the end I might put it even above Basara. At first the story can really turn the reader down. For first 4-6 volumes it's like a bunch of disarranged one-shots/memories, but when you finally get the full view... I'm on vol. 10 and by now it is one of the few mangas I read as soon as the release comes out.

Depends on what you hate in Basara.

I was never able to get into Basara, but I love 7 Seeds. It is definitely worth reading and sticking with it.

It took me a couple of reads to finally get hooked to Basara. But 7 seeds is different. I would cry my eyes out everytime the chapter's out: Scanslated, Raws and spoiler summaries. Yes, it's overwhelming good. The best manga I've ever read.

Yes, you will enjoy! I didn't really like basara, but I love 7 seeds. It's the first manga that I ever saw the raw. Usually, I hate to see the raw because I don't understand but this manga is so good that I have to see it. It's definitly one of my favourite manga until now, we will see when it ends but I'm pretty sure the end won't disappoint me.
