What is the best way to translate a dialect or accent of the original language that is not the norm (e.g., Kansai-ben)?
Different country's English accent (e.g., Irish or Australian)
Different American regional accent (e.g., Southern)
Have the character use different slang (e.g., 'pops' instead of 'dad')
Minor speech pattern differences (e.g., dropping the 'g' in '-ing' words)
No difference in translation but have a translation note

Can anyone recommend me series with asshole protagonists. I'd prefer ones you'd grow to hate but likeable assholes are welcome too.

Zippy Ziggy, as already mentioned, and:
The Devil King is Bored

It's pretty funny, and he sure is an asshole. xD

Oh yeah, and if you don't mind Shoujo: Seigi no Mikata. The protagonist's sister would give the devil a run for its money.

I think Light from death note counts.
In the beginning, gantz protagonist was quite an asshole
I also second tonari no atashi tough it's the male lead, not the first-person view. But he is asking to be hated ( ;-_-)
