My name is Alexander. I'm a fan of anime and manga (of course ). I've recently stopped watching anime and just started reading manga. I typically read manga since I like manga series more than anime but I still really like anime. I have taken Japanese in my high school for 3 semesters so maybe one day I might try to read manga in Japanese (with a lot more practice of course).
My favorite manga series at the moment (haven't read very many yet) are Black Cat (only read the first chapter in a Shonen Jump preview and loved it), Omamori Himari andd Crimson-shell. I only have about 15 volumes in my manga shelf (which I plan on increasing it by a few every week). I do buy my manga instead of reading scanlations because I have a hard time reading off a screen (and it's always nice to worry about your physical books crashing on you ). It always nice to support the industry by buying manga. I want to read the rest of the few hundred chapters in Black Cat, the Negima! Omnibus Volumes that came out, Black God, and Rosario + Vampire (and a few others on my list) and definitely To Love-Ru when it gets licensed. The genres that I like at the moment are Romance, Slice-of-life, Harem, Ecchi, Seinen (once in a while) and Shounen. I plan on trying to read some mangas with the genres of Shojo and Yuri to see if I like those genres too. My favorite characters are Fate (from Mahou Shojou Lyrical Nanoha), Himari (from Omamori Himari), Yami (from To Love-Ru), and Matsuri (from Sola).
