Not outright horror but something a bit scary. Can be shoujo, shounen, whatever. But it has to be interesting, twisted, like some Japanese horror movies are twisted, not just an old ghost story. I'd also appreciate if it had some romantic element to it.
I'm looking for a short finished manga but I'd prefer something meatier than a oneshot, actually. 1-4 volumes is cool.
Good examples would be Camelot Garden or Mizu no Yakata.

Amnesia Labyrinth is pretty twisted, but not many chapters...

I also second Tasogare Otome x Amnesia if you're not reading it already. There are some great chapters that have some gruesome scenes.

Don't let the name fool you, there's only one chapter that has anything close to smut (Chapter 5 I believe, which turned out to be my favorite xD). It's a series of one shots, hope you'll like it =).

Seconded ! The last story was a masterpiece in terms of "creepy-ish story with a twist"
I also recommend Petshop of Horrors. The whole series is a bit long, but it's mainly short independent stories, so you can stop when you want to. And it's delightful ! <3
Edit : Oh, and all of Yuki Kaori's works, of course. <3

Ludwig Kakumei it's 4 vol very light horror and the handsome/freaky/egoistic main character it's so unique... has everything you request so far, hope you like it
